hi! that's the same reason i joined the forum- i had one friend who i kept *****ing about my diet to, and he got tired of it quick, so i figured it might be easier to talk to people who were going thru the same stuff as me :) welcome!

i put pepper on just about everything, i LOVE it. i'm trying not to use as much salt since it makes me store water, but it makes just about everything better. i make these AMAZING salted caramels, and salted chocolate is pretty awesome too :D

...wow. there are a lot of different kinds of depressed people, you know? i try and stay away from asking for pity, but i give in sometimes, cos guess what? it makes me feel better, and sometimes when you're down you need a boost. and she wasn't even ASKING for sympathy, like warzone said, she was asking for help finding…

i'm so sorry :( is it possible you've hit a plateau? maybe you could try mixing it up a little bit, there are a lot of reasons people plateau- unfortunately, i'm not an expert on it. but your weight loss will continue eventually! try not to beat yourself up over something like that <3

i was going to suggest those tiny little sandwiches with cucumbers until i read your last post :P *unhelpful* ummmm, how about eggs? there's a low carb mini-quiche recipe floating around on here that looks amazing ;x

i think soft drinks are the worst offenders to me- they have pretty much no nutritional value, and are seen more as a staple (e.g. drinking them with dinner) than as a treat, like other non-nutritional items like candies are. i'm trying to retrain myself to see sodas more as desserts than water-substitutes :)

i guess my question is, do you WANT attention? i know you're proud of your body, but it sounds like you're not really looking forward to receiving any more attention for it. if you're uncomfortable with it, you don't have to change what you wear! if you're looking to show off your body, tho, maybe you could try some…

sometimes :( but i just think, well, i've already come this far- if i give up now i'm gonna have to start ALL over, and it's gonna be even harder than it has been, so i just have to keep going :)

in n out (west coast fast food restaurant), and right now i'm having a MAJOR craving for any kind of chewy cookie. i just... try to put it out of my mind, and eat regularly so even if i'm still craving the food i'm at least not hungry. but it's so hard sometimes D: totally doesn't help that i keep clicking on food threads…

i've had a girl at work OFFER me her old clothes once, and that was awkward enough (mostly because while she was also overweight, she was about 4 sizes smaller than me and i really didn't want to say "no thanks i weigh like 50 pounds more than i look, apparently"), but i can't imagine how much worse it would have been if…

dad's homemade raspberry pie oh god i'm so hungry now ;_;

i'm on low-carb too, and sometimes have trouble reaching my goals D: i eat a lot of eggs, cheese, and nuts- both cheese and nuts have some carbs, so if your carbs are that low then eat them sparingly. i've been trying to get all my meals up to at least 300 calories a piece, and then have 300 calories extra for in-between…

i do it by MY day, not by 12am-12pm. i woek up at 4pm today, so i input my first meal at 6 pm as breakfast, and my dinner will probly be sometime around 2 am :P

tickets to philly to meet 2 of my best friends <3

i always have to taste-test as i don't want to give anyone anything subpar, but i limit myself to one cookie, for example, or even half of one. i don't get too hungry for things i bake myself luckily. maybe if you know you're baking, you could leave a little room in your calories for the taste test? :)

not in MY lunchbox- i was so embarrassed by the fact that the only treat i ever got was low-fat jello with a giant green label telling everyone that it was, that i stopped eating lunch in 6th grade :( ALWAYS wanted these, desperately- when i got a car i ate all the junkfood on that list and more, but not sure if i ever got…

hmm, my doctor recommended a low-carb diet for me. from reading articles, i've seen doctors have COMPLETELY differing opinions over low-carb and the effect of ketosis, just as users on this site do. sounds good! low-carb isn't for everyone, just as high-carb isn't. do what works for you :) not directed at OP: i've been on…

i apparently have a thing for receding hairlines, DON'T JUDGE ME

don't punish yourself! instead of eating so little the next day (which will likely only make you hungrier), just resolve to do better next time, and eat normally the next day. since you're already dieting, any extra weight you've gained from binging will come off eventually :) i see you're already doing a great job having…

ahhh i've been trying forever to reply to this. i think it really depends on the person, and how receptive they are to criticism. personally i do not want people critiquing my food, especially when i am really making an effort to improve- i know what i'm doing wrong and am working pretty hard to make it better. i know not…

having chestpains, being paranoid of having a heart attack, and realizing that with my diet it was not a big stretch of the imagination :(

i've always loved the taste of protein/weight loss shakes, i don't know why :D my uuuuughghghgh- people who think it's ok to randomly comment on how big i am. no ****, guys, THANKS FOR INFORMING ME (i understand if people are worried about my weight/health and i accept that, but i really don't need to be reminded of…

ahh i know how hard it is to try dieting when no one else in the house is, it takes a whole lot of willpower which is sometimes hard to find :( i agree with the people who suggest healthier options (like ground turkey instead of beef in recipes), and also portion control :)

i went to quite a few orientations about 4 years ago, but couldn't stick the diet and never went thru with it, and i'm glad i didn't. it's just not for me (at least as of yet), but i support everyone who is interested :) personally i would have gone for the band, because it's less invasive, adjustable, and reversible.

heh, my current status relates to this. i am shocked at some of the behavior i've seen on this site, supposedly meant for support and motivation- bodysnarking, being extremely critical and judgmental about other people's (healthy) diet choices- people have different opinions, but there's absolutely no need to be so rude…

i was just about to suggest sugar-free jello like moushtie :D i get sugar-free strawberry- 10 calories, and it comes in the little cups so i don't have to do anything :P

what meds are you guys on? my doctor put me on provera because of my weight, but she made me cry during the appointment and i was depressed and ended up never taking it, and now that i'm getting healthy i'm terrified of messaging her and asking her to re-prescribe, and also scared of getting a new gynecologist because they…

i didn't know they made low-carb tortillas! definitely gonna look for them next time i'm out :D

a couple of years ago, i thought melted ice cream was a good idea for a chaser- after i threw up for what felt like hours, my ice cream cravings have pretty much stopped :D

ahahah thank you, i couldn't figure out why people here kept calling it TOM
