  • I started Chris Powell's choose to lose more carb cycling about 4 weeks ago and have lost about 10 lbs so far. It is typically very difficult for me to lose weight too. I have low carbed in the past with initial good results but then it stops working for me. It is easy to understand and follow since you don't have to…
  • I would like to join the group as well. I did a keto diet about a year ago with good results, improved energy, weight loss, but unfortunately fell off the wagon. I am back on now for 2 whole days:) and would like some support and good recipe sharing. Please add me if you like.
  • I would ask you "Do you FEEL better?". I would be willing to bet you do. I have consistently heard/read it is 80% diet. For me personally it is both diet and exercise. I have to do both to lose weight and it has been that way since I was in my early 20's. I find that exercise makes me FEEL better, and that in turns helps…
  • That is phenomenal! Good for you, and Keep it up!
  • Thank you. That is more info than I have:)
  • Snacks for school are easier than you think. I have to pack a snack for my 7 year old every day for school. Bananas. Peel an orange and put in a snack ziploc and give them an individually wrapped string cheese. Both can stay out of the fridge. Cut up apples dipped in white soda stay white. Grapes don't need to be…
  • Well that is always a plus! Made me laugh. Congrats and keep up the good work.
  • Good luck. It gets a little "less hard" it does not get easy but it is worth it. Keep at it:) I lost 8 lbs with the 10 week program. I am doing a different 12 week program right now but plan to restart T25 when I finish this one.
  • I was thinking POTTS potentially as well. Worth a look into. Many providers are actually unaware of the condition believe it or not.
  • Congrats on your success and good luck with the new challenge. You'll kill it!
  • Congratulations. You are an inspiration!
  • I think an alternative such as an endometrial ablation for your heavy periods or even Mirena IUD would be worth a shot too. Good Luck.
  • Keep at it. I swear I have the metabolism of a snail. It has ALWAYS (since my twenties) taken me 4-6 weeks on a diet and exercise program to start seeing any change on the scale. Once I hit that mark it usually starts to come off. It is frustrating as all get out, but it will happen, just keep at it. I swear I would…
  • I love T25! I was skeptical. My husband ordered it and what I was doing was not working so I thought what the hell? He lost 15 lbs in 6 weeks (and the man did not have much to lose). I started it and I could "feel" results in a couple weeks but the scale didn't start moving until about week 4 for me. But I lost 8 lbs with…
  • I agree. Leslie Sansone's videos are a great place to start. I was pretty out of shape after I had my second child and I could not fathom doing the types of exercises I was doing prior to pregnancy so I started with her videos. I didn't hate them and it got me off the couch. It wasn't long before I graduated to much more…
  • Wow! You are inspiration. You obviously worked very hard.
  • I am so glad to hear that! I have lost about a lb a week until my second week of Beta I finally lost 2 lbs. I thought it was maybe an anomaly but maybe the best is yet to come.
  • I am currently in Beta phase right now 2 weeks in. I saw results in Alpha but really not until I was at 4 weeks. I went shopping and realized I was a dress size down. The scale really didn't change at all and i only took my waist measurement. I have seen more changes with Beta but I think I was gaining muscle in Alpha. I…
  • Hi All, I just finished my week 2 of Beta and I am really pleased with the results so far. I have lost about 8 lbs with T25 and for sure 2 inches off my waist. I had been exercising for about 7 weeks before this doing much longer work outs with weights and cardio but I got stuck on a plateau for about 3 weeks and thought I…
  • I finished my 4th week of Alpha and I am down a dress size. The workouts are still really hard. My cardio improved a lot. I can now do the Cardio and Speed 1.0 workouts without a rest (almost:) But the Total Body Circuit is still really tough for me. I pause it a few times. I fit into pants I have not worn in years. I…

  • McTaffy, Have you been to Physical Therapy for your sciatica? I am an NP and the only thing that has been effective for my patients for sciatica is a good physical therapist. I often do see them back in my office unfortunately for a flare, but they usually tell me they stopped doing the stretches and exercises the PT had…
  • I have been stuck on a plateau for the last 3 weeks so I decided I needed to try something else. I Started it on Saturday as well. It is difficult. I had been working out 4-5 x per week for 35- 55 minutes each time but obviously wasn't as intense as these workouts. I have done 3 of the 5 so far and I am definitely sore…

  • I believe it is maintenance that is the problem, which is for many people. But thank you so much for your wisdom and thoughtful insight.
  • If you are not changing up your exercise I would recommend you do that. Try High intensity interval training for starters. It does not burn any more calories during your work out as a moderate steady pace but does burn more fat and burns more fat for the 24-48 hours AFTER your workout. So basically it revs up your…
  • Turkey Burger 1/4 pd lean ground turkey 2 tbs Salsa 2 tbs Italian seasoned bread crumbs Bake at 350 for 25-28 minutes. Can freeze them either uncooked to cook quickly or bake and cook again in microwave. 192 calories. Add an English Muffin and some Veggies. Still won't be 500 calories, but you can add yogurt, salad, what…
  • A study I read about a year ago that was done on women doing HIIT or steady pace on the treadmill showed the women doing HIIT burned slightly more fat during the work out but their AFTERBURN calories were a lot higher for the next 24-48 hours. It basically revved up their metabolism. The same study was really interesting…
  • I would have to agree with everyone else. You are essentially putting your body into a starvation mode. Eating too little and believe it or not exercising too much. I ran into the same problem. I was eating 1200 calories and exercising 6 days a week. I actually had to eat more and exercise less in order to lose any weight.…
  • Same boat here. I have lost the same 15 pounds over and over ( I never get near my goal btw) so I know what a constant struggle it is. I started again 5 days ago, let's all help each other get healthier. Good luck to everyone!
