  • My wife makes the WW 0 Point soup... it is all veggies, delicious and something like 40 calories a cup.
  • Hunting, fishing, trapping, tanning, casting from lead, making green sand molds, flame welding, reloading, Emergency Medicine, swift water, ice water and other types of rescue and communication/diplomacy. None of us can do it alone, so being able to rebuild communities cannot be overlooked.
  • Ok, I understand now. Good luck and thanks.
  • No, they dont. Both of those that you mentioned are mental disorders and the men AND WOMEN who participate in Fitness Competitions, Bodybuilding and Beauty Pageants DO NOT by definition have mental disorders. I participate in none of those activities but know several people who do and there is nothing wrong with it. Many…
  • I doubt it. Just buying different crap.
  • I had to google NRoLFW as being a man I never heard of it. I have to ask though, and I am not being snarky I honestly do not know.... Do women have different muscles/muscle structure than men? I have always been around women athletes and they train just like the men.
  • I would consider one or two sessions with a personal trainer or someone you trust to show you the moves. Like David said, you can injure yourself if your form is wrong. It is not something you would need to do on an ongoing basis as once you learn how to do an exercise you will know them. Good luck!
  • To start over. I am not pleased with the way I got fat the first time, so I want to give it another go :)
  • Now thats just wrong!!
  • And I applaud you as well for your convictions, and if someone comes up with a better way of managing the predator population in Southern Maine from destroying the deer heard, killing farm animals, pets and anything else they can get their teeth into I will gladly not get up at 2:00 in the morning 7 days a week from…
  • Just like some people in my community believe that protecting livestock and other farm animals takes precedence over the life of a coyote or fox. Your perspective is respected even though you peg me as mega cruel. My daughter watched food inc this year in middle school and has been a strict vegatarian ever since then, but…
  • I am the same way, and my resolution this year was that if (WHEN) I slip up, that I will not wash my mistake down with more bad eating and no exercise... we make mistakes, we move on.
  • I hunt and trap, most of my meat I harvest myself. I buy very little. To be honest, I prefer veggie burgers :)
  • Front squats are harder, but you use your stabalizer muscles more. I think they are called stabalizers... anyway... they are the standard squats for athletes. If you can do 315 BS, then you should start with about 225 and work your way up there. The big challenge is the grip... you need tremendous flexibilty in your wrists…
  • I chose mine because it was a new Kilt in a new size for me and it was at the World Highland Games Championship at Loon Mountain... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/mcdonl
  • No, I get the point. The point is to mock people who do not work out like you do. Right?
  • No kidden... I used to be able to do 225# good mornings, and I had this little twerp come over to me all concerned about me hurting myself and that he had never seen anyone do what I was doing before. I said to him, well... you probably never tried to throw a 56# weight with one hand over 14 feet in the air before wearing…
  • Eric gave good advice. When I started P90X I had to resort to modified pushups on some of the exercises. You will get stronger.
  • Manhatten clam chowder (Hold the bacon, veggie stock instead of beef stock....) (2 cups, 200 calories) Salad with oil/ballsamic (150 Calories+/-) Activia yogurt (70 Calories+/-) 1/4 Grapes (50 Calories +/-) Total lunch, 470 Calories but that will have to hold me over until I get home and do insanity (Plyo Day) and then I…
  • Your describing body builders. These guys are very serious about their craft/hobby and pose as a means of practicing for meets and competition. That is why they are at the gym, it is not just all about fitness and weightloss. There is a whole culture of strength guys who have been going to gyms before they were cool. And,…
  • Lots of experts here... Track and Field, Highland Games and other strength athletes do much of what is listed here and are not idiots at all. I say, unless what you are doing is a danger to me or gets in my way I do not care. That being said I hate people who do curls in the squat rack, rat you out to the front desk guy…

  • Welcome to all the new faces and goal seekers!! Good luck to all of you, and if you need to know all about pitfalls, losing ground and getting back on the wagon give me a shout.. I am an expert at imperfection :)
  • Dont be so sure :)
  • I use Syntrax... 4 calories per gram of protien so it has nothing in it except protien... no fat, carbs, etc... very clean and much, much, much much cheaper. But, that being said I use protien to replace amino acids in my damaged muscles after doing intense workouts, not as a part of a weight loss plan. My weight loss plan…
  • To be able to just be active and stay fit and not have to do insantity, P90X and Asylum.... I just want to go to the gym, bike/jog and eat right... Maintain, not lose is my end goal AND reward.
  • 215 is not much, you need new friends... just saying... anyone ever called me fat they would be swallowing teeth. I hear there stories and it infuriates me that people would actually call someone fat. Beyond my belief. My story, always been bigger than everyone else... usually with a belly, but just bigger in the…
