Fitbit only connects with some bluetooth 4.0 phone and at the moment the list is limited to some Iphone and Samsung models. I was having this problem and I scrapped the old scale and got a new one that is fairly accurate and not that expensive. http://www.amazon.com/Ozeri-Touch-Digital-Bath-Scale/dp/B003N4AVKE In case you dont want to replace the scale I would weigh like 3 times and use the average as reference.

It is different for each person. I really believe we cannot be scale dependent and if it is interfering with your mood or becoming an obsession it definitively needs to be put aside. Did you try unplug and plug back the usb dongle? Did you try manually Sync? It could be just a driver issue.

It worked for me in the past. I have gained some weight back and I am using it again now during walking or biking. It is not magical but I believe it helps.
