Be straight up with them. They will respect your for it, and you can leave on good terms. I don't think any reputable company is going to hold it against you to improve your circumstances. But never burn your bridges.

bump. I've just started making goat cheese! And that's because I fell in love with a sample I had at a farmer's market of goat cheese with a jalapeno/fruit sauce!

I think it's the hardest habit to break! Sometimes I'll get up and brush my teeth, and it will distract me, and make more food seem less appealing until the full feeling catches up with me. I keep hoping that little trick, among others I hope to read in this thread, will help me form a healthier habit before too long!

We usually have most of the venison and elk ground up. Then use just like hamburger, but you may need to add some fat, or use half-and-half with beef. Of course, keep out a few choice steaks and the backstrap!! I am sure you'll get lots of more creative ideas, and I'll be watching, too!

You can get genuine Advantage and Frontline, and probably all brand name de-flea meds, on ebay for much cheaper. That's the only way I buy it.

Some people are just mean. I don't imagine they'll ever be "good neighbors", but in a similar situation with neighbors of mine who have been hateful, I just kill them with politeness. If I walk by and they're outside, I wave, even though all the while gritting my teeth ;-). If they choose to ignore me, or be overtly rude,…

Maybe ask one of his fishing buddies if he's been talking about a particular kind of pole.... also, the local fishing gear store can give advice. Or maybe tuck a gift certificate into a box of lures so he can select his own.

Visit backyardchickens.com Hens are not noisy. Their loudest, occasional squawks are no where near as annoying as your neighbors' little yippy dog, or their squalling kids. Most cities do not allow roosters, and limit the number of hens. So check your local ordinances. They do not smell unless you never clean their area.…

I think "real" workouts are the best- certainly most sustainable for many of us. Log it as "gardening, general" or find another exercise in the data base that you think it close to the energy expenditure. For those with an hrm, it's much easier, but you can get a pretty good estimate. Certainly no need for a gym workout on…

Most people have trouble with it because it is so lean, therefore can be dry and tough if not cooked properly. Any cooking method where it cooks quickly and retains moisture will work. Since it's been tenderized, it should cook more easily than usual. Maybe lightly braise, then thin slice cross-grain? Some great…

I've noticed it! I still have 40+ pounds to go, so I still have plenty of insulation, but find myself reaching for a long-sleeved shirt, or wearing jeans instead of shorts, and it's still unseasonably warm here... I can understand why nature designs animals to "bulk up" for winter..... Me? I'll just wear more clothes!…

Rocks. We're talking golf-ball and larger size rocks. He was a loony Dalmatian, and we'd hear a "clunk, clunk, clunk..." and he'd be regurgitating them on the linoleum floor....

Words that start with a vowel, such as "elimination", that is regularly pronounced by TV hosts and others as "alimination." What sound does "E" make????

If cooking from a recipe on your notebook or tablet, cover the device with a clear sheet of plastic wrap to keep splatters off.... I discovered the need for this while baking this morning, and blowing the flour off my notebook keyboard!
