The reason I'm not doing a full body workout is because it takes too long, or it would if I spent as long as I do now on upper/lower (45 minutes for each + stretching would equal over 1.5 hours). eg at the moment for legs I am doing squats, lunges, leg raises, lying leg curls and the stepper. My squats are currently just…

Thanks summerskier. I still haven't binged or eaten to the point where I felt uncomfortably full all week so I am pleased with that. Anyone who has slipped - don't give up or feel too bad - you can't change what's in the past you can only try to do better :)

If you are talking about pre mixed gluten free flours, the differences will be in which kinds of flours they use and in what quantities. I think most use a combination of white rice flour, tapioca starch and some kind of bean/chickpea flour. White rice flour is obviously from white rice and so is fairly tasteless and low…

I have nothing useful to contribute other than to say I was incredibly confused by this because where I come from tailgating is when you drive dangerously close behind the car in front.

I can understand you getting annoyed if people liken their situation to a true celiac's and complain about how hard it is etc or don't think contamination matters if they cook for you. But I also don't think what you're describing is a fad. I can eat some gluten, but if I eat too much I get tired (and if I continue to do…

Since Monday so if I don't binge tonight that's 5 days. But I've still been over my calorie limit all week and not eating very healthily so I'm not feeling very proud at this stage.

So true it's what under the shirt that people don't see! Especially because I don't tend to wear skin tight clothes. I want to be able to wear a bikini without looking pregnant. And true about the hair cut thing as well, people would never comment on that without looking rude! And I think that's the same for a lot of guys…

bump to look through later when I shouldn't be asleep!

Sometimes for emotional/depression related reasons (ie nothing brings me any joy except food). When I am doing better emotionally, it's usually because I crave something and it calls to me (and I think sugar especially is like a drug). And sometimes because I try to convince myself 'oh one day of bad eating isn't THAT bad'…

Well the other problem is that my friends never seem to put on weight. So they CAN have 3 brownies but if I have 1 I've already blown my sugar limit for the day and will become bloated. I wonder if they think I am indirectly criticising them when I try to refuse to eat that stuff and that's why they keep offering and say I…

I am not a very good cook. But with practice I am getting better. I can do curries and stirfries because basically you chuck all the ingredients in the pan and stir (or leave with the lid on for curries) until cooked. You can freeze leftovers or just use smaller amounts of ingredients. Don't be afraid to try, people here…

No because I don't care for giving myself cancer. I do my own fake tan if my legs are looking particularly bad. I don't mind looking pale but I do mind looking purply/blotchy.

I get this too. I am technically in a healthy weight range but I have excess fat/flab that I would like to get rid of/tone up. My friends and family do not support me trying to count calories so I feel like I have to read packets and weigh things in secret.

Good ideas! I like to make mini crustless quiches for picnics and then take a loaf of bread, fruit, cheese and dip. Except you do need to keep things cool which is annoying on longer hikes.

ooh must try these! I will probably add some chia seeds and use 1 whole egg and 1 white to make them a bit more filling and because I hate wasting yolks.

Ok, success! I made coconut flour choc chip biscuits. I put the recipe in the recipe section though, here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/542360-coconut-flour-biscuits

Bumping because I'm looking for recipes with coconut flour too. The problem is that it's very fibrous and apparently needs a lot of eggs to become moist and non crumbly when cooked, which kind of defeats the purpose of its healthiness. It is still low carb but it seems easier to just use almond meal... I'm going to try to…

Going off various online calculators they all say around 1650 with no exercise. When I do cardio I usually burn 200-300 calories (that's taking 10% less than what exercise machines have calculated based on my sex/age/weight) but I don't do cardio every day and have no idea what I burn doing strength training or pilates…

PIZZA. And toast, and chinese food with that perfect sweet/salty/fatty combination. I'm ok with sugar, once it's out of my system for a while I stop craving it. Not the same for pizza!

I think it's because not all the kernels pop. I only buy kernels and pop them in a microwave safe bowl in the microwave with a bit of oil, it's so much cheaper. One bag of kernels costs $2 and makes about 10 bowls.

I really wouldn't worry about things like lettuce. Just go by volume because it's easier and even if you underestimate it would only be a difference of a couple of calories. But generally, weighing is more accurate than measuring for solids.

Ugh it's so hard when you compare what you eat to what your friends eat! All of my friends are super skinny but only one is what I would call 'fit' (ie has muscle). But none of them have any real fat on them! Some eat heaps of junk food and never put on any weight, and others honestly say they just don't get hungry or have…

I love peanut butter! As long as you get one without loads of added sugar and salt and stick to one serving it's actually not bad. I have some most days, but usually only 1/2-1 tablespoon.

They're pretty nutritious and easy to put into anything really as they don't really taste of much. No food is a wonder food and they're definitely not calorie free but I think they're great!

I'm using it as a guide to make my own plan because I always get stuck on week 5 when you have to run for 20 mins with no walking. To me that is a massive jump from run 8, walk 5, run 8. At the moment I can do 8-5-8 on the elliptical or outside. Elliptical I can push it further (I feel the burn in my legs more but not as…

Good to know as I was wondering this too, sometimes I'm too tired when I get home to do anything so I have to rest and eat first and then exercise.

You beat me too it!

I love coconut oil! When I eat it regularly I think it speeds up my metabolism because although I feel hungry more often, when I eat sensibly to fill the hunger I don't put on weight. I usually use it in place of vegetable oil or butter in frying or baking although I still use olive oil for dressings and bruschetta and…

Have you tried white tea? It's supposed to be even better for you than green tea but has a less bitter/grassy taste. I love jasmine tea as well. In winter chai is good too (made from real spices I mean, not rubbish powdered stuff!) Those 'warming' spices are supposed to be good for your circulation and help boost you out…
