I've heard you should run not too fast that you wouldn't be able to hold a conversation (though I am guilty of going over this). Just run however fast feels comfortable for you :)

I also swum for the first time in about 8 months yesterday, and it was fantastic! I'm thinking of getting a membership to my pool (which has an attached gym) :)
-
before you do this ask your doctor's opinion because they obviously know more about your situation than i do, but maybe you could do other exercises that swimming in water? like a light aquaerobics class or something that isn't high impact and so doesn't affect your neck

no, it's a different app (but a bit cheaper and the same online connection capacity!). i'm hoping when i 'graduate' it'll be smart enough to recognise that i've done the training too :)

I've got Zombies Run, which is a lot of fun. Basically it does the normal track how far you run, how fast you run etc. but adds a story line to it where you are a runner for a camp trying to survive the zombie apocalypse. I'm currently 3 weeks in to their 8 week training program (a version of C25K) and I can't WAIT to…

Hi! I'm Emily, I'm coming back to MFP after about an 8 month break where I was travelling the whole time. I'm 164cm (5'4) and 88kg (194lbs, probably but I don't entirely trust my scales!). I've decided this time to focus on increasing my overall fitness and health, and lose weight as a byproduct of that but not as the main…

Hi! Aussie all the way :)
-
Hello :)
-
Hey! I did something similar (but in half!), I lost 25 pounds then pretty quickly put 11 back on. That's awesome about the half marathon, I did C25K but then I stopped for various reasons. I really should start again. :)
-
Hey, I'm in a similar situation. I just came back after disappearing for around 2 months for no reason other than laziness!
-
I've lost a bit more than it says in the ticker and I've gone from an Australian 16C (38C) to a 12DD (34DD). I have no idea what is going on there, but I'm not really complaining.
-
I'd really like to join, I have been so unmotivated recently and need something to start me going again. Should I just PM you my start weight?
-
Hi everyone! I just joined this group and got sorted into Slytherin. My name is Emily, I live in Australia and I am really looking forward to getting to know you and joining in the challenges! I think I'll leave the OWLs and NEWTs until next week when I am more in the swing of things. Hopefully I will be helpful!

I just depends on what works for you as to whether or not to eat your exercise calories. Personally I don't, but there are people who do.
