Use free weights or bands. I myself am just barely 5' tall so using gym equipment is at times impossible. There are simply some machines that I will never be able to use because Im not tall enough.

thanks everyone so much!! I had a fitbit which i LOVED but unfortunately i forgot it was attached to a shirt and I may have washed it and then dryed it. So alas, I have no more fitbit. :( Have to get a hrm or something similar soon as all this not knowing is driving me rather nuts. :)

if youre looking for cardio then I wouldhighly suggest Turbo fire by Chalene Johnson. Both she and the program are AMAZING!!! P90X is awesome, but the workouts are long and they are intense. a newbie can do it, just be ready to anticiapte having to modify a lot. I like to tell my friends that you want to find a program…
