  • I just started the Biote hormone therapy pellets. I workout (lift and some barre classes) 5 days a week. I'm 5'1, and average 115. Since the pellets I have gained weight. Instantly. I fluctuate between 5-8 pounds. Nothing has changed for me. Not even my foods. Its been since November of 2021 and I am so frustrated. My…
  • I would say no, but do your research thru Google)). I flush out sodium, by drinking extra water on these days.
  • Some people quit cardio to try to put on a few pounds to compensate for their 'offseason building phase'. Even though a person is building 'lean' muscle, cardio is very good for the heart. A person is better off doing 3-4 HIIT sessions a week, then 5-6 days of week of steady state cardio.
  • I make a protein pancake every day. I use 1/3 c liquid egg whites, 1/3 c old fashioned oats, 1 scoop flavored whey, 1 tbsp PB2.
  • Quest Protein bars are of the highest quality. Also, snack on hard-boiled eggs, rice cakes with natty pb or almond butter. It also really depends on your daily calories and macros. I eat a Quest bar with a hard boiled egg every afternoon. I have my meals and macros planned out weekly though, according to my lifting days.
  • Everyone has different goals. My carbs change daily. It depends on my workouts. It also depends on my weight, and what i am trying to acheive. This should be the same for you also.
  • Sounds to me that you need to seek counceling to deal with your eating habits. This is sometthing no one here can help you with.
  • Exactly! Yes, there IS a difference in carbs! Some are slow digesting, some are fast! You need to eat the appropriate ones to fuel your body as needed.
  • 300 cals is actually very low. Thats probably thin crust, light sauce and no meat.
  • It sounds like you need to hire a personal trainer to get the techniques down correctly. Also research the heck out of bodybuilding.com. They have a ton of information there!)
  • What exactly is your question? I'm your size, but I'm a bodybuilder. I average 1400 cals a day; 26/20/8 per meal at 6 meals a day. Again, it depends in your goals.
  • I recommend you research beginner lifting programs on bb.com. They also post video clips to each exercise if you don't know what or how to do it. It's a great start! It'll guide you. It also depends on your goals. Building muscle or trying to get lean.
  • I lift 5-6 days a week. You need to lift even on the days you are sore. You don't have to lift to heavy, but your muscle fibers will respond better. Are you drinking your BCAA's while lifting? Are you drinking glutamine with ur whey protein after lifting?
  • I buy them direct from the company as they are always FRESH. I eat 6 meals a day, and my Quest bar is my afternoon 'snack', which is my meal 5. ALL of them are amazing!!!
  • Creatine is great if you want to build muscle. I don't use straight creatine. I use EST Ennercell which is a German creatine. No need to cycle it, or build up and then back off of it. I drink it post workout every time. I also use Univeral's Sterol Complex!). It's cheap and it works!)
  • If you buy them direct, they are only $2.08 a bar. THATS CHEAP! Plus, they are fresh. For some reason, if you buy them at a store they are hard!((
  • You need to hire a trainer who specializes in training, and nutrition. No one here should recommend anything, as we do NOT know your stats. Therefore, you need to get the specialized macros for you. I use Jerry Ward from www.bios3training.com.
  • You can buy a variety box of each (natural, and original) online to try them all!:)) They just came out with Cookie Dough, which is real good. Not my favorite flavor, but its great! www.questproteinbars.com. Not sure anymore, but first time buyers can use the code FREESHIPPING.
  • If it fits into your schedule, then get up and do fasted cardio for no more than 30 mins. You can drink your BCAA's while doing yoinur am cardio to replenish you. After you get home, have your balanced diet of Protein, Carbs, and healthy fats. Eat this iwithin 1 hour of your fasted cardio. When you are strength training,…
  • Quest bars are great! If you buy them from a retail store, they are STALE! You have to order them direct from the company!:)) You can order the original or the natural line. You can get them individually or in a variety box. They are fresh, and so soft! I love to heat them up in the microwave for about 8 seconds, and top…
