  • I juice for nutrient value and do so in the morning...I first have hot lemon water, then I juice. I started last year while I was maintaining weight and helping husband cleanse and loose. My favorite is: Carrots, Apples, cucumber, lemon, ginger then blend in the spinach and maybe a banana (not always) Carrots, sweet…

  • I've been doing this for 3 weeks, juicing, eating more veggies/salads and coffee 1 or 2 a week. In my attempt to stay away from meet, I made a large pot of black beans and added that do my meals...say in a stuffed pepper with quinoa, veggie and arugula pita pockets etc...and I gained 2lbs! While I'm now paying closer…
  • That's fantastic! What kind of workouts are you doing? I did great last year, but after my trip to Disney this past February, I lost all good habits and gained several pounds and a fat belly again! Been juicing and daily Jillian Michael's dvds
  • My first round of 30DS I lost 8lbs and 5.5" all around. I did get frustrated with the slight changes in my body, but there were changes and I was stronger and almost a size down.
  • That's fantastic! Not only are you doing yourself a favor by becomming a healthier person, but it's also a great example for your children. You look great so keep up the good work!
  • What a difference. Even your face looks longer now. Keep it up!!!!
  • I do juice more fruits than veggies...my average juice is 1 1/2 apples, 3 carrot sticks, 1/2 cucumber, lemon, ginger and then I blend in 1/2 - 1 banana, papaya if I have and 1 cup of spinach.
  • I plan to start tracking again tomorrow and hopefully that'll yield the results I want. I only do the one workout in the day.,.I'm a stay at home mom of 2 girls, so it gets hectic and frustrating to workout with them here and then I'm too tired by the time the hubs gets home from work. I live in the city so I do walk…
  • I started level 3 today...it's killing my knees! But thsi workout went faster for me today than the others did. I am a bit dissapointed however that I don't see a significant difference in my body after 2 wks of workout. I typically to the advanced moves and for some I do modified and I make sure to tighten and squeeze in…
  • Cant's see pictures but great job!
  • I did the 30DS in January and lost 5"...I just started doing the RI30 yesterday and everything is sore, but I expected it just like with the shred. I worked through the pain and I'm glad I did. I found this workout to be more entertaining and a tad easier. The way she breaks it down makes it feel effortless. I'm afraid to…
  • Congrats! You've worked your butt off and it shows. Weightloss is not for the faint of heart; you have to be comitted and honest. Great job!!!!
  • Similar to the first two weeks n the Atkins diet right? I've been thinking about it for a while now because I've lost weight, gotten some tone in my abs but I cant' see it because of all the fat laying over it.
  • Doing great girl!! Keep it up
  • I too have had the same question. I was sore the first 3 days of Jillians 30DS, but not for the rest of the challenge. I did loose close to 5" and 8lbs, but I also modified my eating. BTW: I'm sure you've been told, but gosh you look like Vanessa Minnillo!
  • I just wanted to say how sorry I am that you're living in such pain. I can't imagine how hard it must be to function with 4 kiddos, including a newborn. I did have a friend who suffered some spinal injury in a car accident. DOn't remember how bad it was for him, but he too was offered to either have surgery or live with…
  • Wow!!! What an incredible transformation. Good for you! I can not fathom the challenges you had to face straight on to get to this point, so thank you for sharing it with us. Heck you lost 200, 11lbs although hard, will be a breeze for you. You are a rock star!!!
  • I would say ease up on it for a bit...Ice it, ibuprofen and rest it or you'll end up with an injury like me and then you'll be stuck waiting 6wks for a recovery. I just finished doing the 30DS and I stopped doing the jumping jacks the last 4 days...too llittle too late. These past two days have been rough. I hurts like…
  • Great job!!! What a marked difference!
  • I just finshe my 30DS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow...I had to take 2 days off due to illness, but I finished!!!!! So proud of myself for sticking with this! I have to weigh in on Sunday and will measure then, when my muscles are relaxed. I'm down 8lbs since Jan 3 and 4.75". Wish it were more, but I'll take it. My bad cholesterol is…

  • Well everyone is different and burns at different rates. But with those diet modifications, you should already be seeing some changes...an average of 1lb per week. The shred will definitely help you loose some weight, but again, it is different for everybody. Myself personally, I am down 8lbs in 3 wks. I'm on level 3 now…
  • I think your progress is phenomenal. High blood pressure is NO joke. My husband suffers from it and while he has cut salt out dramatically, it stil creeps up and has to be on meds. My goal is to get him to loose weight and bring down his numbers. The weight loss too is great! Once your drop your sodium intake, their is…
  • Nope...it's a higher intensity. She made me cry teh 2nd day, but you get past that. It also goes by much faster than level 1 for some reason. I'm on D2L3 now.
  • Wow! That's fantastic!! And I agree, that dress is so nice. May I ask what you're doing to loose the weight? Diet / exercise combo? Keep it up! You're doing a great job...remember to just take it a day at a time.
  • I'm glad to report that for the past 3-4 days I've been trying to up my calorie intake and I've seen some changes in my mood and energy level. I'm able to get through my work out without pain. The scale has also started to move...of course, I'm not taking that as my final weight loss until my official WI on Sunday. Two…
  • What a great thread! Thanks for sharing your experience with us and helping us figure things out...it is of course 1 am here and I'm out of it so will have to read again tomorrow. I had been wondering about this because I've been having a hard time these past few days and I think this is why... I have been overweight since…
  • Well as of lately, I've gone back to eating my "chocolate" calcium supplemtent by Viactiv. I can two per day and they're only 20 cals... I'm not a big sweet tooth kind of person, more salty snaker though :-( For the salthy snack, the quaker cheddar cheese mini rice cakes :-)
  • Dare I say NYC, the capital of the world :-)
  • Breastfeeding will help you loose more weight too. Congratulations :_)
