I don't really drink all the time, but I make it a game for myself to see how much water I can actually drink in a day. I typically just make a schedule of when to drink a glass of water and stick to it the best that I can.

Thanks for the support. I'll just leave.

You mean Udon? I like udon noodles. They are filling.

Whoops... Haven't been here in a while. Hope everyone is doing well. I had a terrible time last night. I took too many pills in a short period of time and ended up throwing up. After that, I just wanted to binge on chicken nuggets from McDonald's. Glad I was too weak to get out of bed though.

Toning, yup.
-
I agree with that.

I'm pretty sure uses stored fat AKA stored energy reserves when your body goes into "starvation mode". If you have plenty of fat, I'm sure it's not going to hurt anything.

It's probably best not to argue with Newfiedan. He is just explaining how MFP works. I personally don't use it for what it was designed for, and no one is obligated to use it that way. I'd personally rather starve myself and not eat back my exercise calories to lose weight because that works for me.

@mkingraham: I can't find a middle between slow and fast weight lost. Only fast has worked for me. I generally have to keep my calories pretty darn low just to maintain my weight. My doctor could never figure out why I gained on 1200 cals a day. The reason I gained weight in the first place was because of a medication I…

@tjradd73: Thanks. I wish I didn't obsess over it. Yesterday I probably only weighed myself 3 times, which is a lot fewer times than usual. Kinda like me, I just do it to keep focused... if I didn't weigh myself at least once a day, I would be tempted to allow myself to cheat or something. @mkingraham: Everyone puts one…

@meagalayne: Uhm... Not sure. It just keeps me from eating too much and exercising too little. The number on the scale isn't the same for me day to day. It's been changing everyday, for the better. I know I have a feeling I'll be disappointed later on, but that's when I know I need to change something. And I will. I…

@meagalayne: I do weigh myself every day. Multiple times a day. I can't weigh myself once or twice a week because I'll get off track. And I do see day to day weight changes. I only been on this diet for 4 days, but I haven't gained any weight. I want it to happen overnight, so I try to make it happen overnight lol.

This thread is moving fast lol.. I don't know if I'll be able to keep up. Another 1.5 lbs gone... And I kinda cheated measuring myself today. Since Saturday, I've lost at least an inch around 2 places that bother me the most, so I hope I can keep going with this. Also, this means that I've reached a 3 lbs goal for this…
-
Lost 1.5 lbs as of today, but I'm nervous as of tomorrow. I would love to see this kind of weight loss everyday, but I know that's not going to happen lol.
-
I like it, but I aim to be less by that time.

Coffee should not be considered in your water intake... Drinking unsweetened tea or Crystal Light type products will help with water intake though.
-
Drink something warm. Coffee will curb your appetite, but I wouldn't suggest that if coffee keeps you up at night. Tea will help though. I drink coffee and tea after dinner to keep me satisfied through the night.
-
Every morning after I wake up and go to the bathroom. Keeps me on track.

If you are on a VLCD and you are losing about 3 lbs a week, your metabolism WILL slow down, but it will only slow your weight loss by 1/4-1/2 of a pound a week. As long as you are still alive and kickin' it, your metabolism is never going to just stop. Now, if you're a tiny little creature and you're trying to lose that…

@Losingitin2011: You said you were previously an anorexic, so I don't know why you think this is a myth. We are the ones who should be irritated because you fail to do any legit research on your own. @hsinster: Actually, your body burns fat before muscle. Why do you think we store fat? It's used as an extra source of…

It probably is water weight. Just focus the next two days reducing your sodium intake and drinking plenty of water. About half your weight in ounces a day. Or just 2 liters a day.
-
Are you drinking enough water? Are you on any kind of medication? Have you had your thyroid checked? Do you consume a lot of sodium? Do you drink a lot of carbonated beverages? Do you consume too many white carbs? These are all questions you can ask yourself, plus a lot more that may help you with your journey. If you want…

Working out will help keep your metabolism up.

Haven't really noticed yet... I've been awake for 41 hours. Hoping I can sleep tonight. Edit: Actually, I noticed I've been eating half as much food as I planned.
-
Compare that with a study of a larger group of people, and that looks like a personal problem.
-
Aye.

It's a myth. It really only applies to you if you're at a healthy weight and don't need to lose anymore. Also, INB4U: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2016490?dopt=Abstract And no, that is not the only journal. Research, plzkthxbai. Edit: I'm actually proving this now.

Your body may just be releasing toxins. I always sneeze constantly after I'm done working out.
-
Adorable lol.

Lol hard on. Done.
