  • It wasn't mentioned back when I used it (about 20 years ago) and by the time I stopped I had put on a lot of weight. I already had mobility problems and so the injection combined with lack of exercise really had an impact. I have been fighting that weight ever since.

  • I only ever tried the Depo injection and that made me enormous.

  • Hi, I am 5'4 1/2" and I am currently 232lb/ 16st 8lb I have lost 14lb/ 1st already but my goal is to get to 7st. It seems extreme and I may never ever achieve it but there is a reason.
  • Firstly, there is nothing wrong with being a fat bride (ah! It cut the rest of my post off!!!) I was a fat bride and being thinner wouldn't have made the day I married my best friend any happier. It was about us committing to each other forever, not how many inches on my waist. Secondly, you gotta view your food as fuel.…
  • Fast food here in Wales is quite expensive, I think a 'McMeal' would cost the equivalent of around $8? That helps :P Much cheaper to eat at home!
  • Yeah, when i feel like I could cheerfully stab anyone that looks at me the wrong way I can guarantee that a random and unfair weight gain is likely. Then when I feel goodwill towards mankind I can be fairly certain that the unjust, unwarranted and unwelcome extra will just disappear overnight :) Banana Trousers.....
  • Does logging on MFP not help?
  • I can't run so I'd just give him "The Look" and he would drop where he stood. Bear and chips for tea!
  • The more important question is, does Kristen Stewart think I am pretty???
  • Just because your bf is thin does in no way indicate that he is healthy. McDonalds is nice once in a while but eaten every day it's a very unhealthy choice. It sounds to me like your bf is being a bit of a wanker about your cooking so next time you want to cook yourself something healthy and delicious ask him to take…
  • My friend lost lots of weight and I didn't want to be her fat mate, a bit selfish and vain I guess but it was for the best in the end. Now I just can't seem to stop :P
  • I think people just found it difficult to understand why you would join up, find its not for you then bother yourself to post in the forums that you can lose weight better and faster? Everyone on here has fought tooth and nail to lose their weight, supported by each other and MFP, in a healthy and maintainable way. If you…
  • All you gotta remember is that while people are busy checking you out and maybe judging you you are also checking people out and maybe judging them. It's just natural. Now think how long you spend contemplating each person you see, a minute, 30 seconds? Maybe not even that long, so yeah people will see you, they might…
  • Technically it isn't a fast food story but it's still a horror story all the same. My best friend and I were staying in the Hilton hotel the night before my wedding, we booked the best suite they had so we could really enjoy ourselves and be sure to have a nice relaxing night before getting beautiful for the ceremony. The…
  • You aren't just walking though, you will be pushing a pram with a child in it. There is an option to log walking while pushing a pram, you can find it by typing in 'pushing/pulling stroller with child'. Definately log it, its exercise. Just because you aren't sweating in jogging bottoms on a bit of expensive gym equipment…
  • I have visited Germany twice and found it to be a beautiful country full of extremely kind and friendly people :)
  • I have been to New York and that was awesome but there is something about Boston that just draws me to it :)
  • Heh, nope :) I will admit that I do look a bit Germanic :P
  • I would love to see Boston :)
  • Boss by Hugo Boss :) mmmmmmmm

  • In real life when people ask me how I am losing weight and I reply 'Eating Less and trying to Move More' they never fail to look disappointed. All folk ever want to hear is 'I lost weight by eating chocolate and sitting on my *kitten* all day!' The best thing about the Internet is, if you don't like what someone says to…
  • Hi, I started at 250lb and am now 206lb, still a long way to go but please feel free to add me :D I am always open to new friends :)
  • I was having a conversation about this yesterday, I have lost over 40lb (3 stone) but I am miserable. I hate my body, I feel disgusting, but when I was fatter I was really happy. I looked back through some before and after photos and all I saw was a really happy fat person vs a miserable fat person. I started losing weight…
  • I have met a few nurses who have had to advise me to lose weight who were substantial people themselves. I have never felt any malice towards them, I think it made what they were saying easier to take, it is always harder to hear that from a thin person, you always think that they are judging you even if that isn't the…
  • What about burger belt? Or chip cummerbund? What you really want of course is a salad six pack :p
  • I saw a dietician last week who informed me that you do not need to eat back exercise calories plus exercise is only a tool you can use for maintaining weight rather than weight loss. It is still beneficial for your mind body and soul tho and good for you in other ways. Make of that what you will, I for one am sick and…
  • Because its one of the only times as an adult that you are legitimately allowed to play :D
  • This works for me too, it probably all depends on how fast your metabolism is to begin with right? I mean, if you are overweight then that is a big indication that your metabolism is already rather lazy. Hopefully forcing your body to make the best of what you feed it rather than giving it a huge glut of calories that it…
