  • Going over by 300-400 a day for 3 days won't hurt you and if you have gained weight it's probably water from the extra salt in those meals. Maybe try to eat REAL food at night and not just a slim fast. That is probably not enough OR your mind thinks it isn't. Glad you are back on track though. Keep up the good work!…
  • You sound about where I was 10 years ago. I wasn't part of anything close to MFP, but what I did to stay on track and not eat junk food...I packed a lunch. It was full of every good thing I could stuff in there. Breakfast, snacks, lunch, and more snacks. Keep a good variety in there. Even if you go over your calories...you…
  • I used to eat a whole lot more then I do now, but also noticed that once I decreased the amount of protein I was eating...I finally lost some weight. Go figure.
  • A BELT is a good thing and I buy men's belts. They are longer and I can wear them with my low rise jeans with no issues. I tend to go for the more classic look, so there are more uni-se x belts in both sections. PS. If you want to spend a little more money OR wait until the pants go on sale...I shop at Victorias Secret for…
  • Not sure, but I get a TALL non fat latte from Starbucks from time to time and it's 100 calories. Hope that info helps.
  • Start out small. Make a mini goal. Tell yourself to hit the gym 3 days a week.
  • Mmmmm...movie popcorn. Yum. Good job on taking an alternative snack!
  • I buy the big bag at Costco. Vanilla. I tend to only use it when I make smoothies, so the the flavor is lightened up by the fruit and Diet 7Up, but it's good.
  • Last time I went there I had the won ton soup and the lettuce wraps. You can actually eat the entire plate and be good to go on calories. Then...I picked at the main dishes and let me tell you...adding in a tenth of 3 different meals was MORE then the soup and wraps!!
  • I weigh in the same time same day each week no matter what AND it's on a Monday, so what ever I ate over the weekend shows. Why cheat it. But...I did skip this Monday because I was sick and didn't eat as much as I normally would, so I knew the weight I'd lost wasn't "true". I'm sure I gained it all back this week, so gave…
  • If you have never eaten well and are obese and the clinic asked me to eat the same thing every day to get used to quantity and calories...sure...I'd eat the same thing each day. But if someone is bored by eating the same thing each day at each meal...why wouldn't you want to spice things up and change your meals? It's a…
  • Don't blame it on Friday the 13th...there's another one coming next month!!! Double whammy!
  • I've been on a Cherios kick lately Mon-Fri. I did eat something different today and am going to try to keep that going and change things up like I used to. It's good for your body to keep guessing then to keep it digesting the samethings each day. It's like your work out routine...switch it up for better results. I used to…
  • My work outs are 30 to 240 minutes total work out time and I burn 250-1500+. Really depends on the activity and day. Right now...not much...still recovering from the flu and I've been lazy!
  • I have the F6 and use it many times a week. For 30 min or up to 8 hours. It's comfortable and haven't had any issues with it. Not sure what the difference is between the F6 and F7, but if it's not much...go with the one on sale! Mine was over $100, but I love it so it was well worth the money.
  • Lie flat on the floor, hands under your bu tt or to your sides and lift your legs a few inches off the floor. Do that a few times for how ever long you can stand it. Make sure you are sucking in your tummy and using those muscles and not your back.
  • I'm having 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese 1/2 cup Dannon Light and Fit Vanilla Yogurt 1/2 Grape Nut Trail Mix Cereal
  • So...something simple, that's an ab exercise, that does not wear you out so fast... Maybe just suck in your tummy and hold it for 10 seconds. Do that a bunch. You can do it in the car as you drive too!!
  • Oh...now that you edited...I make so sense. :grumble: BUT...you can always take a protein bar along with you. Eat a few bites prior to the gym, a few bites during, and a few bites after. Next thing you know...you have downed the 300-400 calories to make up a good portion! OR...a handful of nuts before you go to the gym…
  • If you ALWAYS try to go to the gym, then you probably know ahead of time that you will be able to eat more and should calculate that in to your meal plan early in the day. Sometimes I guess as to how many calories I'll burn (under estimate) and then eat those, then I go play my sport, enter it and find I'm pretty dang…
  • Ditto. Shoes play a huge role in shin splints. 2nd...increase your potasium. I THINK this correct, but maybe get someone to second it.
  • If you are not eating at least 1200 a day...eat more.
  • Oh wait...yep...that's what used to be and still is a good saying... If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. Always have to be the bigger person, ya? :flowerforyou: Gawd I hate that. :grumble:
  • Just keep with it and wait...then...when you are in your skinny era you go down there and say "fat girl from upstairs" in Spanish to her. Leave her with that.
  • 8 min buns. I couldn't get thru the whole 8 minutes for the first few times!
  • Me too with a lingering sore throat from last Tuesday!! And...I still feel physically tired! I can't wait to get a good work out in SOON! I feel lazy, but know it's best. There are some colds I know I can still go to the gym with and this one...was not one of them. I even called in sick to work and I never have to do that.…
  • I never felt bad as a single on Vday and neither should you! It's just another day. Cheer you up: A few years back a girlfriend and I went to dinner at Red Robin just to get out and talk and was floored to see how many couples spent their "special day" there. I would rather be single then to have that be my "special Vday…
  • Used to have to run them in high school. As long as you don't trip and hurt yourself...they're a great work out. Cardio with the added boost! TO switch it up, you can HOP with two feet together to each stair or skip every other stair or do a lunge on each stair before going to the next one!
  • sammiches. Turkey sandwich with ALL the veggies you can get on it. PS. Don't eat fast food for a few days/week and you'd probably have enough money to buy a brand new microwave. You should really do this, so you can eat canned soups, stews, frozen meals, ect. Easy and better for you.
