  • Don't forget that as you lose weight and become more fit, you won't burn as many calories. It's a bummer, but true.

  • I try to stay busy! Do anything, clean, walk, call people, ect. I find I'm more hungry when I'm bored or restless. I stopped chewing gum a few years ago, but added that back in when I started MFP. It helps at work when I feel stressed and want to eat.
  • Thank you and yep...we can do it!
  • Based on a visit to a physical therapy center and having a "body pod test" done I found that the goal weight for my body size and density is 147. Really? Ugh. I weighed that much in my early 20s, but I didn't do it in a healthy manor. Can I even reach that again without killing myself with diet and exercise? I knew that…
  • Carried away? NO WAY!! PS. I used to run ONE stair. Sounds so sad compared to the many floors you ran. But here's the idea: A gym buddy and myself would go out to the stair well and time each other. 30 secs on and the swap. You have to run the stair (one foot up, second foot up, one foot down, second down) as fast…
  • Stress does cause weight gain. So keep that in mind! Also...read other posts about how people gained wieght, but stuck to it, worked out harder in frustration and then BAM all of a sudden they lost a bunch. Who knows...keep up all those work outs and I bet you'll lose too! :flowerforyou:
  • Isn't that the Biggest Loser thing? Ooooh...you answered it.
  • I used to be in-between and Med and Lrg top...depending on the fit. I'm now just a Med, so I've been buying a new top every few weeks. I'm almost to my goal and haven't been trying as hard as I should, but ya know...I feel good and think I'm at a good place, so why not. Even if I lost another 5-10 lbs, I'd be a MED,…
  • [/quote] It's just that now my endulgences are so rational! I never use the cheat day to binge. In fact, I have one firm rule and that is I can eat what I want, I just CANNOT eat it until I am full. All week long I keep my stomach used to small meals, I don't want to wreck it on Sundays! So I say go for it, see how you do.…
  • I have one cheat meal a week. This winter...I would have 2-3 a week, but I was also burning 1500-2000 calories on those days by boarding, so I felt like the whole day was a cheat meal. Those days are almost over.
  • I use Sugar Free Suisse Mocha powder (coffee section) and a little fat free creamer in my coffee M-F. I know sugar free stuff doesn't agree with everyone... :ohwell: Maybe it was a fluke. Try it another day or two and see how it goes....hopefully well!
  • Tonight: Turkey chili soup.
  • I've never had it. I'm assuming I shouldn't ever!
  • Is that the scale you use each time you weigh in? If so, I'd keep using it. If not, don't use it again and stick to the one you normally use. As a woman...yes...I bet there are times you do fluctuate that much. Water. Don't fret. Tomorrow...it'll probably go back down.
  • OMG...that sounds good.
  • I made a turkey enchilada casserole. Mmmmm.
  • ME TOO!
  • When you stop for potty breaks ....walk a little bit. Even 5 minutes is good. Stretch before you get back in the car. ...ask to hit the rest stops...walk more. stretch. Subway! If you go to a sit down place for a meal, get you can make anything more healthy if you ask for it the way you want. Or...stick to the lite menu.…
  • Nature Valley Sweet and Salty granola bars. SOOO GOOOD.
  • I normally do OK on the weekends, but add in a party or get together and I don't do so well. I've even tried to eat before the party, so I wouldn't snack a ton. Nope...hasn't worked. I do try to hit up the veggies first or things I know are better for me. And...I take very small portions, so I feel like I ate more then I…
  • Does your salad bar offer beans? Chic peas? Chicken? Any protein should help keep you full... You can always get a larger salad and split it into two meals. Lunch and a snack before you leave.

  • Brand: KNORR. (green packet) They also have a garlic herb packet. It's good and has more flavor then the alfredo. Both are good though. A few weeks ago I cut chicken breasts into long strips, coated with Progresso Panko Bread Crumbs and baked. No egg needed either...it stuck to the chicken on it's own. They get super…
  • Whole wheat brown rice with chicken, veggies and low fat cream of celery or chicken. One pot meal...used to be my mom's go-to meal when I was little. it was yummy and you can make it more healthy ...now that they have low fat soups.
  • Whole wheat noodles...with alfredo sauce and veggies...cover veggies with sauce if you need to hide them... In the sauce pack isle they have powdered alfreado. I make it with skim or 1% milk and no butter...makes the noodles ooowee goowee and healthy.
  • Mine is going strong too! I love it. The booklet inside says to go to a licensed Polar Replacement "place" for battery and/or fixing. I thought...man what a pain, but found later my local Fred Meyer (grocery store) has one there. He's the guy within the jewerly dept that replaces batteries in watches. Totally convenient!!…
  • How many days have you worked out this week? 5-6? A day off could be good. 3-4?? Go to the gym.
  • Great idea! I'm 80/30 when I'm sick. I have had times where I was able to work out normal (80%) and some where I was laid up in bed and unable to move without hurting (20%). Lately with the flu...I'm on that 20! Ugh.
  • I'm a reduced fat creamy JIFF lover myself, but now that my man is a diabetic we tried the low-sugar version. It's OK. Not great. And...come to find out the fat and calories are not much different. Poo.
  • After most scary movies and dolls...I can stand anything with a FACE. ...ok...more masks than anything! And...they watch you when you walk...:grumble:
