I had a peek in your diary. I wonder if the feeling hungry is to do with the foods you are eating. There does seem to be quite a lot of McDonalds and Burger King which although yummy doesn't tend to fill me up for long if I eat it. Maybe try switching for Subway? Was diagnosed 6 years ago. I'm in nz so started on thyroxine which is synthetic. Got my levels to normal and weight dropped off but felt crap and shaky so switched to whole thyroid which is a t3 and t4 mix made from pig thyroid. Welcome! For me Mfp says 1200 .... My experience her has taught me I lose better on about 1400-1500 cals and I always eat all my exercise cals .... We re ll different ... Take some time and see what happens but you use fuel your body for that rowing. Protein keeps me fuller longer. Good luck!

There are calories in everything .... You have to log it all ... Pretty exactly. Drink lots of water

Anywhere is a good place to start. If he is a mcds junkie why not try some healthier home burger options ... You an do your own cheeseburgers, Big Macs, fillet of fish, mac chicken ..... Even with oven baked shoe string fries if he likes fries .... Good luck!

I agree with the protein upping. Also if you want to open your food diary that might help us to comment on your food intake. Not high protein but I find if I pop 1/8 cup of plain popcorn I get a largish bowl to snack on and quite low in calories and it takes a while to munch thru. If you have no popcorn maker you can do it…

I don't care if it lies on my stomach. I always eat supper at night in bed :-) Just had a mini chocolate perky nana and plain air popped popcorn. If I didn't have supper I would feel hungry and probably it would affect my sleep. That is just me. I'll be intersted to know what others do. I often have a mini frozen yoghurt…
