Wow...I can say that I hated running at first but now I'm obsessed with it and I'm training for my first half-marathon in Sept. Way to go.

Way to go...that is AWESOME-SAUCE! !! Be proud!
-
Great workout...I would also add planks and hip bridges to that list!

The part about the squirrels (we have a ton of grey ones here where I live) had me in stitches...so true, and they tend to chatter angrily at me when I run to close to their trees, what gives? We musn't barf on other runners before a race, that would just be bad manners...lol Congrats on your time, AWESOME!
-
You rock, love that time girlie...so proud of you and your pace was fantastic as well! Woohoo!
-
sweetie, be proud of yourself for doing what you are able to do...who cares what others think, at least you are trying to better your health...if they want to judge let them, it will come back around in spades when you are healthy and looking awesome and they are still judging others.

Yes, it will pay off in the end, I keep telling myself the same thing...my half is in Sept. too and I am hoping that this foot pain is gone for good and won't cause me anymore trouble...keep up all the good work girl! I too trained in the cooler weather and loved it, now it's getting hot so I have to either run early or…

Flattered, I know I'm sexy and who cares what they yell...I just ignore them and smile to myself

on my long runs right now 8-10 miles...so about 1-2 hrs and on my shorter ones between 30-50 minutes...your getting there and doing just fine, give it more time and you will be running longer and longer! I started out at 2 minutes this last summer and now I am up to 2 hrs some days...it just takes time, and don't worry…
-
Wow, fabulous sweetie, congrats!
-
Sounds like you are starting out already dehydrated...remember to hydrate every day and that should help, I get dry mouth but that is because I have to breathe through my mouth because my nose plugs up when I run...so I try to keep a fruity mento or three in my reach while running, they keep my mouth moist! p.s. your body…
-
You rock! That is so awesome...be proud, can't wait to do mine in September!
-
Hydration will help but have you thought of fuel? Try some sort of energy gel or sports beans etc, and see how they help...I too get that dead feeling in my legs on my long runs and I will be trying the energy gels etc...to see how that helps
-
How did it go?
-
I was a little nervous at first but now I'm 8-9 miles in and feel confident all will work out for the best...
-
Great job on your race, that is a great time...good for your son too! You will do great at your half
-
I did, a little at first, but now I don't at all...just remember that you are doing this to better your health etc...who care what others think...and I always remember what my hubby once told me...people don't really think about you as much as you think they do...they are too wrapped up in themselves to really care...true…

I thought the same thing 9 months ago...I couldn't run 1 minute without huffing and puffing now I can run over an hour and more at a time...you Can do anything you set your mind to...you just gotta believe in YOU
-
I agree with the above...I always run faster during a race...its the endorphins for sure!!! You will be just fine sweetie and the hills are just a bonus, believe me there will come a time when you are thankful you did them....
-

I'm loving Cherry limeade with vodka right about now
-
I'm in Oregon!
-
ha ha ha...guess it was time to get some new ones...hope they are going to work out for you!
-
I will probably cut the mileage back and just run some for the pure fun of it...I love to run but not always to compete...just to improve. I would like to do some obstacle runs...like the warrior dash or tough mudder, or even a mini-triathlon...these all sound like a blast!
-
From what I've read and researched it sounds like you are doing everything right...hopefully the physio will have more info, but it really does sound like you need to keep doing what your doing and continue on! Hope it heals fast for you sweetie and good luck! I'm dealing with a sore ankle and not sure if it's a stress…

Thanks so much, I was really shocked at the drop in time and extremely pleased...thanks and blessings! :flowerforyou:
