USA is not leading the medal count anyways. Oh and: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6WYRPPTVBg&feature=youtu.be So you only care when you win?

Curling and hockey! Go Canada go!

Make sure you land softly. And don't jump on concrete. Wood floor, mats, grass, something with give. Other than that, it's just practice.

Definitely like JoRocka said, no concerns. I wear my "workout" VFF 5x week and do all kinds of workouts with them. Lifting, running stairs, plyo and bodyweight exercises, mobility, kettlebells, TRX, etc. Nothing breaks down and nothing needs stitching. I even did Zumba in them last year for a while. Torque is no problem. I…

Do you workout a lot? I found that it's getting easier when you workout consistantly. I had crazy symptoms and painful cramps for the longest time. Since I started losing weight and seriously workout, I haven't. I do feel weaker and sluggish around that time but nothing compared to what I went through years ago. I just see…

Not sure if I understand. You don't need to lose weight to wear Fivefingers. Your feet don't need cushioning and support. That makes/keeps them weak! I would say if you are overweight you need strong feet! They will strengthen your feet and you most likely will have less problems wearing them (after transition time).

See Yas are very light to the point of flimsy. That's the only pair sofar that I am not crazy about. LS stands for lace speed? Anyways, LS means they are lace instead of velcro. They are switching all of them away from velcro now unfortunately. I find velcro better. As for nice styles, I like the Alitzia which I wear with…

Same here. 5 workouts a week and every single minute when it's not freezing and snowy. Love my VFF!

Screw pink. I want these: http://www.demonbells.com/product_p/2.htm

I hear you. I had the same problem in the beginning. You will get used to it. Add lemon or lime juice, I found it makes it easier. Even easier with hot water and lemon or lime juice. You can also add a touch of honey to sweeten it.

You can drink too much. It depletes your body of minerals. I know somebody who actually started having seizures and almost died. Good thing she was already in the hospital when it happened (knee surgery). I heard half your body weight (lbs) in oz is a good rules.

lol agree!

I read that apples are a better "wake me up" than coffee. I have to try it myself sometimes...

Actually jumping should be quiet. You need to learn how to do soft landings. Better for your joints too!

I got a breakfast sandwich maker. Coolest thing ever! Mine are ~235 cal but I am sure with more cheese and bacon you can bump it up to 300. Very filling and sadisfying by the way. I am not hungry for hours!
-
Great! What are some of your favorite foods and meals?
-
Nobody cooking from scratch?

I think you are ok as long as you eat when you are hungry, stay within resonable calorie count and eat good stuff. I am doing the same. I had to learn again that I need a bigger breakfast and don't need two snacks in the morning. Though I eat whether I am hungry or not 2 hours before my workout. Because I know I will be…

About a year. My BF was with me and they started to all talk about him losing so much weight. Then they looked at me and all hell broke loose. It was funny that it took them a 2nd glance. It's like when you see people and think "something is different, wait a second... holy!"
-
I did something similar. I lost over 70 lbs and didn't tell my family. It was one hell of a surprise.
-
37! Could use some more friends in that age range on here. Especially some that are clean eating (for diary snooping! ;-))! So add me!
-
You can also freeze it for later. Holds up very well.

You might want to look into what Kelly Starrett is doing on his mobility WOD page.

I used to hate anything that got me remotely sweaty or breathless. Now I love it. I never thought it would happen. I heard a lot of people say "you just have to find the right thing". I didn't believe but it happened. Keep looking, keep trying stuff. You will know as soon as you try it. Weight lifting is really something…

Are you talking breakfast sandwiches? Best gadget I ever bought is a breakfast sandwich maker! I know, I know sounds like a stupid thing to be excited about BUT it is a fantastic tool. I got it just before Christmas at Coop for $27 (Walmart had it for $19 but sold out at that time).…

Too late to answer your question? To go along with Cueball55's definition of healthy eats I suggest: The District Tavern and Notable (mostly local, some organic and they make their own pickles, bacon etc.). I also like the Palomino (fresh pub food) and Pizza Gaga (organic crust, super fresh toppings). Also a good location…

Congrats! I remember that day and loved it!! Keep going it is so worth it!

Kind of Calgary here :-) I live outside of the city but I work downtown. Everybody feel free to add me. I would also be interested in some walking buddies for lunch breaks.
-
I ordered one last weekend and can't wait to get it now! Stupid mail service takes forever! (I am not very patient)

I am in NW (outside of the city actually) but I would be interested in some downtown lunch hour walks!
