  • I'm at peace with mine, and I hardly ever think of them. I will feel just as awesome rocking a cute one piece bathing suit as I would rocking a bikini. Mind you, I only have them on my stomach from pregnancy, so maybe I'd feel differently if they were in more obvious spots.
  • I think the OP inferred that his friend really may not be ready for all of that. I was pretty sure that doctors would not do gastric bypass unless they have been through thorough counseling, but maybe that's only here in Canada, or maybe they don't enforce that at all anymore. The impression I got was that the friend has…
  • When exactly are you leaving? Since you're going to be hiking, all day I assume, you'll probably be hungrier. I hope you let yourself eat a bit more...exercise + fresh air + vacation = starving! At least for me. :)
  • The burn comes from the inside, not how much you sweat...unless I've got it all wrong! Anyway, i do wear long pants because I'm quite embarrassed of my legs at this point...so i have a pair of yoga-style that I wear. I wear a t-shirt that has a pocket to hold my phone (for the music). This is my only set of 'workout…
  • Gawd, that sounds complicated as hell. My ex and I just alternate weekends and don't pay any attention to which month/partial month they happen to fall in. Does this mean that your kids never sleep in the same bed more than two nights in a row? I'm not going to knock it if everyone, especially the kids, are happy but…
  • I just did Fighter Fit and it was HARD. Like muscles burning, sweat dripping, lungs straining, HARD...at least for someone trying to undo 20 years of sedentary like I am. I think I will feel it tomorrow, too. I ended up logging it under calisthenics (which I had to Google) because it seems to be the same type of…
  • Okay, I've just looked at it more carefully and it looks great for days I can't get out to exercise. I don't usually do stuff like that though, what what it be logged as?
  • Zumba or an aerobics type class?
  • I'm very happy with calories burned or exercise minutes logged! Pounds lost goals make me sort of nervous because you can do everything right and still they don't come off because you've built muscle or plateaued or something else beyond your control...and I'M here to take control of my eating and activity.
  • It's actually called Nike Training. It isn't the running one. I'm glad to hear of the voice cues. Does anyone know if I can do it without having weights and equipment at home? (I guess I should just do a trial run and answer my own questions, but my daughter is insisting I rake leaves up so she can jump in them. Must run.…
  • I downloaded it but haven't used it yet because I've been doing other things for a workout. Can I do it if I don't have weights or other equipment at home? Is it awkward to work out while looking at an iphone screen?
  • It told me 1580, MFP told me 1200...which is what I think I'll stick with. I've been losing what feels like slowly enough anyway, I don't want to slow it even more! (And I don't think I'm anywhere near starvation mode).
  • You look fabulous!!! Do you feel it? I'm glad for your post in particular because I am only 5' tall and 50lb is much different than 50lb on a woman of average height. Since I've a long way to go before 50 (but I WILL get there), it's nice to be able to picture what it might do for me. :) The transformation is incredible,…
  • Not that I'm opposed to the idea, but there's a recipe forum here which has lots of good ideas. What's good for the tall people is good for us too. :) What I do in case anyone wants to get the recipe for what I've had is to add it to my food diary, complete with the name of the recipe and the site that I got it from.…
  • I googled Roussy Levy Syndrome and I'm sorry that you have to deal with this. It must be difficult. Based on what I read, I don't think any of us here have the expertise to advise you, really. I'm sure you could lose weight because if you follow MFP you live in a calorie deficit, which leads to weight loss. Whether Zumba…
  • I'm not sure. WHY do you want a week off? Just to see if you can ditch exercise and still lose? Personally, I don't think I'd do that because I know my cardiovascular system needs to be improved, weight loss or not. I know my body is unhealthy and exercise is the only way to fix that.
  • I don't think my answer is what you are hoping to hear, but I think 'your' guy is right. I think you should proceed with ultimate care, caution and slowness. Although, texting all day (even while you were still with your husband!), talking all night, socializing and drinking together...I don't know, sounds like dating to…
  • Is it very repetitive, though? I know they can only put so many routines in a game. Also, I'm wondering how it can be played when it's rented, unless they actually give the belt with the game.
  • I rented Just Dance 2 last Saturday and my kids and I did it all week! lol Yes, it IS a workout. I'm really not a good dancer, but I thought it was kind of neat how by the end of the week, I was getting pretty good at some of the songs. This week we're going to try out Just Dance Summer Edition. I was going to try the…
  • I find being able to eat more if I do it a great motivator to do something active. :) I hate exercising, as well. I hate every minute of it...but I do feel great after, both physically and mentally.
  • This seems to be a common place to do it...go nuts! :)
  • I can't get to the forums through the iphone app either.
  • Right, no going backwards!!! I'll have an 'easier' time this weekend because I don't have my kids, so no excuses for not exercising. But I STILL find it harder than during the week, so I know it is 100% phschological...the feeling to just break routine on the weekend. And I LOATHE that cleaning you 'have' to do before a…
  • Not yet, but it will. It really will. Hang in there.
  • Yeah....but you said mixed drinks!
  • Purple Rain (or is Purple Haze, I never can remember) from Kelsey's has been good lately. Or Sweet Tea Vodka and lemonade. Mmmmm.
  • During my only previous weight loss, I lost 30 lbs and STILL felt like a cow. Everyone else was raving and I did not get it at all!
  • I just did a Wii Dance game and got pretty warmed up! If you're talking about another sort of vigorous...well, not much opportunity for that lately. Sad really. :ohwell:
  • I don't have a/c. It's too suffocatingly hot NOT to leave my house. lol At least my misery has company, not that I'm glad anyone else finds winter tough. I'm quite sure there is a SAD component to it..by January I feel I almost insanely seeking out light...I start not caring about the hydro bill and leaving the light on in…
