I started today too... tonight actually. I did ok I think. Mostly did the modified versions but I still had to stop seconds short on several of the sets. It will get better each day!

Losing 20-30 lbs of weight gave me two boys in less than 2 years after trying for more than 7 years!. Funny thing is when I get around 185-190 lbs, I end up pregnant! I am so hoping that doesn't happen this time as I would like to "enjoy it" for a while this time instead of getting big and pregnant again! Good Luck…

How bout being able to cross your legs comfortably or wrapping a regular size towel around you and nothing is showing! Those are mini milestones that most women (or men) could appreciate! :drinker:

Have to agree with the belt thing. I am on the up side of weight loss as of today, but remember a time when I had to punch a couple holes in that hard leather and look forward to doing that again real soon. (I am 13 days post op/pregnancy)

Losing weight will help tremendously! My bf and I were together for 7.5 yrs with no birth control and were not able to get pregnant. I questioned my abilities and his fertility for so long. Then I lost ~30 lbs and got that baby we wanted. Best of luck to you!

I have very few male friends (mostly cuz guys lose weight differently than women). BUT... I was reading some forums one day and this total hunk of burning love caught my eye and I friend requested him just so I could see his pics whenever I felt like it. He lives so far away, but if I was a single woman... sigh....

Are you measuring yourself? As that is a better indicator at gauging progress than the scale.

I used the Scooby calc and came up with BMR: 1663, TDEE: 2578, TDEE-15%: 2191. I thought that I should set it at BMR and then just eat back cals. Is that right? I actually just found that group and read the forum. It makes a lot of sense. And, I shamelessly was referring to that old BMI chart.... I was just using it as reference to infer my desire to be at a healthy weight. Thanks for your reply. I think I am going to try to do this... the right way. YIKES!

Muscle doesn't weigh more than fat. A pound is a pound, whether its fat, muscle, or water. Muscle is denser tho, taking up less space than fat. I suggest that you measure yourself, as that is a more accurate way to gauge your progress. Good luck to you!

My long term bf is 25 years older than me and we had a beautiful baby together last year. It is only an issue if you make it one. In the beginning, I spent a lot of time defending our relationship, but I got over that.

If you want cardio and strength, give jillian michaels' 30 day shred a try. It's 20 min and is very effective. I am currently doing it and I like it.
