Jillian Michaels has lots of good DVDs. I'd say the 30 Day Shred is the "beginner" version but there are others that are more advanced for people who are used to exercising. They include Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism, Ripped In 30, No More Trouble Zones, Killer Buns and Thighs. Most of them are classed as circuit training…

Thanks for organising this. I'm naturally lazy so signed up to give me the motivation to exercise, cos of course I won't want to let the side down!! Good luck everyone.

I'd be lost without tracking to be honest. It's so easy to go way over what you're meant to have if you don't track. It's boring but I do think it'd help get you back into the swing of it. Good luck!

You have one honeymoon in your life (hopefully) so you should relax and enjoy every moment! It's only a short period in your life and you will soon get back on track once you get back. Doesn't mean you have to go nuts, just forget the stress of tracking and trying to figure out what's in everything and don't let it spoil…

Me too! I need the push, especially to keep me on the right track with exercise! Good luck and feel free to add me.
-
Good luck with MFP, it definitely helps to have the support, makes you to stay on track! Add me if you like. :o)

Lasagne Chocolate Wine All healthy stuff then?!

Congrats on your loss so far, sounds like you're doing great! Good luck with the rest of your loss.
-
Good luck and congrats on your progress so far. The last stretch is the most challenging but you can do it!

Bit late seeing this (!) but if ever you're in a similar situation, think about how long you'd have to work out vs how long it actually takes to consume the same amount of calories. If you're lazy like me, it's enough to stop you eating it. On the other hand, if you fancy a treat and do have spare calories then…

You can talk yourself out of (or into!) almost anything. The little voice has a lot to answer to!

Agreed! Some weeks you will lose more than expected, others less. Over a longer space of time the loss will average out so don't get too worried about what the scales say on 1 particular week. Your weight is coming down, so you're doing the right things. I always "gain" on the scales after drinking alcohol but after a few…

I know what you mean. In some ways there's too much information available to us now and it complicates things if you let it! I'm guilty of the same thing. I think the key point is that you're losing weight so you're obviously doing something right! The only time I would look to change things up is if your current…

I've done the Shred and other JM stuff this year so far but the past month I have fallen off the exercise wagon in a big way and become really lazy again! Unfortunately I never enjoy exercise and have to force myself to do it so when I stop, I find it hard to start up again. I feel like in a month I have undone all of the…

Do you eat back any exercise calories? It seems to work differently for some people than others but if you're not eating them back then perhaps try eating half at first and see how you get on.
-
I guess it's about compromise - you're already working out 2 hours a day and from his perspective, he is now hearing that you want to spend more time on your own doing your own thing that he is not involved in. If the situation was reversed would you perhaps feel a little left out? I really do admire your efforts in terms…

I joined WW cos I was banging my head against a wall for months just counting cals and not losing weight. I needed a fresh approach and the weight has now started to come off since I started WW so I'll see how it goes from here.
-
Me too!
-
I used a hrm but the nearest match I found was circuit training which worked out similar on cals.

I did 30ds and lost around 16 inches from various places. At the beginning I struggled with some of it and had to take a few seconds break here and there. Also my knees hurt! The first three days are the worst then it's quite surprising how fast you notice a difference in what you're able to do. I did ripped in 30 after…

I joined online but mainly use the app more than anything. I have a friend who goes to meetings so I get to hear bits of news from her.

Hi, I'm 33 and I use this site and log food and exercise every day! Currently doing WW which seems to be giving me a boost after four months of the scales not budging! Feel free to add me if you like.

Just read your profile and realised my original suggestion was not great! Have you tried mixing up your diet? I know sometimes I tend to eat the same old things and I guess it can be easy to get stuck in a rut. Hang in there, I hope the scales start to move!

900-1000 is wrong! The absolute minimum MFP sets women to is 1200 so it stands to reason many can eat considerably more (but below their maintenance) and still lose! Some people would keel over on 900 a day.
-
Hi and best of luck with your loss! I'm doing ww so add me if you like!
-
I also worried about this as fruit takes me over on sugar most days but this kind of put my mind at rest.
-
Can't see much wrong with your food choices. Do you eat back the cals you get from exercise? You mentioned WW, did that stop working for you or did you just fancy a change?
-
Agree with increasing your cals. The problem if you start on the 1200 bare minimum is that there is nowhere left to go if your weight loss stalls. Plus if you can lose weight on more cals, why make the process more difficult? Good luck in finding the right calorie level. I would work on what MFP gives you and then take it…

Good luck, hope it's going well for you. If you'd like to add me I always welcome the extra support!

Good luck in getting back on track, you can do it! You'll soon get back into the swing of it. Add me if you like.
