WEIGHT GAIN. I NEED HELP!

So here's the deal, I've been losing weight for about a year now. I got down to 160lbs via many different approaches. Calorie counting, intuitive eating, things like weight watchers, etc. I've never really hit anything on the head that works for me.

I went to ATL this past week and the scales shot up BIG TIME. I gained roughly 15lbs. I lost 3lbs overnight from a normal day back home, than another .5 lbs the next day, but today I'm up 2.5 lbs so overall I've only lost .5lbs!

My body is being a monster, I cant seem to shake this weight, and I dont know what I should do. I work out every single day but should I try changing my exercise times? Afternoon/night vs. morning? I'm at a total loss and just could use some advice.

Right now I do intuitive eating and I actually eat like a rock star. I dont track online because calorie counting makes me crazy and formerly developed a slight case of EDNOS...but maybe its something I NEED to do!?

HELP!

**Oh and I have PCOS!

  • has anyone been in a similar sit. or have advice? bump1
  • Yes? No? Haha sorry for being obnoxious and bumping this I'm just really at a loss right now. I'd like to gain muscle and lose fat but have no clue how to get my weight down!
  • Take a deep breath and look at what you've achieved. I don't have any advice, and I can only imagine that should the same happen to me when I have lost 47lbs I'll be as frustrated still. BUT, you've lost so much! Don't forget that in the big scheme of things. How much better do you feel? How much better is your quality of life?

I'm sure someone will be along with some great advice soon xxx

Just hang in there. You've hit a plateau, and you may be there for a long time. You've made tremendous progress. Stay focused, add more exercise, and drink lots of water.

I'd be lost without tracking to be honest. It's so easy to go way over what you're meant to have if you don't track. It's boring but I do think it'd help get you back into the swing of it.

    Good luck!
  • Thanks for the help guys! OH I SHOULDVE MENTIONED I HAVE INSULIN RESISTANCE/HORMONE IMBALANCE DUE TO PCOS...going to add that in the first post. Anyone else out there with PCOS?

Yes I have sent you by message how to diet for PCOS / IR. I also explain the hormone-insulin-cortisol cycle so that you can understand why conventional diets fail us. Don't worry it is easy and unbrutal once you know how to control this cycle.
