I still don't love it, but do it every other day 'cause I'm too far into it to quit now. I can run 3.5 miles and feel great afterwards (not always, but most of the time). I'm running at the Y in Grimes this afternoon at 4:15...grab a membership, treadmill and you can join me!!

I would find it hard to believe that Sally would gain back all of her weight if she stays at 1600 calories. I've been Sally. When I upped my calories from 1200.....the only reason I gained was because I quit logging/quit measuring and lied to myself about what 1600 calories was. I went back to old food habits and lied to…

UPDATE--did not run the scheduled 5K on Saturday. After no rain all summer it was a downpour all day Saturday. I didn't know if 5Ks get cancelled due to rain or not--but the 5K was 40 minutes from my home and I didn't want to drive there and risk it. I did run 40 minutes on the treadmill though in place of the "race". Back…

Can I tag along on this topic? I have 1 more night of the couch to 5k program. Last night I ran 30 minutes and felt like I was going to die, but finished. Tomorrow I'll run my last night of the program and have a 5K I want to run on Saturday. But I'm hesitant as last night was really brutal. Does a 5K ever feel easy? Maybe…

Just did week 5 day 1. Running outside is so much harder for me than on the treadmill. I've been running 3.1 miles on the treadmill for a while now, but haven't been able to get there outside. I'm starting today. A trainer/cross country coach in the town where I work is leading a group on this program starting tonight.:happy: I too can run a 5K on the treadmill (albeit SSSSLLLLLOOOOWWWW), but haven't been able to do it outside!

Dental floss. Google it for proper instructions....but I tied mine off with dental floss and then after about 5 days cut it off with a sterlized sissors. Seems the dental floss cuts off the blood supply , it gets brown/black and then it's safe to cut it off. Dr. OZ said it was okay to do this.....so I did!!:happy:

Today the saying: "we have met the enemy and he is us" Is nagging at me as I had 600 calores of unplanned eating last night after RUNNING 3 MILES. Can anyone say self-sabatoge! I'll never finish this journey of mine unless I get a handle on this stupid repeated behavior of mine.

I figured it out!! Ran this morning and it calculated my calories and beeped when my heart rate got above my high limit!!

Okay, I missed the important step of hitting the start button. It showed no calories. I think maybe tonight I will get this right. Have you ever worn it all day just to see how many calories you burn ir a regular day? I would be curious to know that about myself.

I was using it, but my dietician told me to stop as it would not aid my weight loss.....now I can't remember exactly what she said about it that made me quit. I wasn't taking it for other health benefits but strictly to see if it could help with weight loss.

I just ran 3 miles this morning. HATE the though running. HATE the first 10 minutes of it. But, I promise myself that I have to run 10 minutes and then, if I want to stop I can. Sometimes I do stop.
