i have reactive hypogylcemia....meaning that if i eat too much carbs without enough protein my blood sugars spike high and then i crash and have the low blood sugars. i have found that certain foods will always do this to me. i tend to stay out of their direct way of eye contact. One time, i talked with my trainer about a creeper, and he said he'd keep an eye on it. I also workout early in the mornings. I find that when i work out in the afternoons or evenings it is like a dating scene sometimes.

i vote for cardio....it burns more calories usually for a quicker weight loss.

i do alot of grilling in the warmer months - turkey brats are wonderfully delicious on the grill. Also, i try to use my crockpot for multiple different chicken receipes. i've got most of my receipes from pinterest.com

i work with a trainer 1 day a week and we do a variety of exercise that i track as a circut workout. I will jog a lap around the gym, lift some are weights, run again, do some pushups/situps, then weights, then lunges, etc....its different everytime. Keeping your heartrate up is the main goal.

Have you had some lab work done recently with your doctor? Certain things can slow your metabolism...like low thyroid levels?
