I like to cook mine in a sautee pan, a tiny bit of oil if any, some crushed garlic, s & p, toss as it wilts That's it.

There is nothing stopping that from happening. Know what you're eating. And if you're not sure - google it. That's what I do. Steph

I agree with the rest of the people who have posted, but remember that we are not doctors. If you're worried I would suggest calling a doc. Hope it's better soon. It's not fun dealing with back issues. Steph

I did a 5k a few weekends back. I didn't do the couch to 5k. I use to walk a lot, but I have never been a runner. As a matter of fact, I was a smoker for most of my life. My cardio is for crap! Just don't stop. Find a pace, maybe a slower one, that you can stick with, and then just dont stop. I think I was at like 12 min…

What am I going to do after I have lost the weight? Everything in my power to keep in off!

I'm not being creative lately. Tonight is turkey burger, sweet potato and a side salad.

Yes - get one.

I'm not willing to be your babysitter - but I'm good for a kick in the *kitten* when you need one. Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like. Steph

Just keep in mind that everyone is different. Eveyone is going to lose/gain at a different pace. Don't base you off of anyone else. You'll find what works for you. Feel free to check out my food diary if you want some healthy food ideas. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Chew some gum. Usually helps me with the sweet. Or brush your teeth. I have pudding for my chocolate crazings and frozen yogurt for my night sweet. They have single portion size cups you can get, they cost a little more, but easier to control how much you eat. Mexican - I usually order the fajitas with out the tortillas,…

You joined in October - it's the 6th....what were you expecting? The weight to magically disappear? You should be losing 1-2 a week depending on what you have your goals set at. Keep in mind that most people over estimate their exercise calories burn and under estimate their portion size. Just sayin. Gotta keep pushing…

Over thinking things. Keep it simple. Drink water - all day long. Period. Setting a schedule when you have to drink water is only going to drive a person nuts. I'm a type A personality but come on! Haahaa!

Sounds odd, but Spicy Crispy Chickpeas rinse & drain 2 cans chick peas - dry in clean kitchen towel toss with 2 tbsp evoo, 1tsp cumin, 1tsp smoked Spanish paprika, pinch cayenne, pinch kosher salt. Bake 35 min at 400 deg f on parchment lined baking sheet until browned and crisp. Shaking ban at 15 mins to toss. Pretty yummy!

feet up - sock, shoes, panties, work out pants or short, sports bra. Tada. All my work outs are at home with the exception of yoga. Only difference is I wear a tank top to yoga.

I lost my engagement ring due to weight loss way back when. It's a cool thing for them to not be so tight anymore, but be careful - I hope it's insured! Steph

I have a few late afternoon snacks. I do almonds, or prunes (or any dried/fresh fruit), or both. Or string cheese. They will keep ya going until dinner.

Get your bootie off the seat more and it wont be as uncomfortable......

Then challenge yourself to get out of bed earlier. Haahaa - I'm kidding. I started with 30 Day Shred. I also have Yoga Meltdown, No More Trouble Zones (about 55 minutes but my absolute favorite total body work out), Burn Fat Boost Metablism By Jillian. I always thought that 1/2 hour work out was what I wanted too. Now,…

Thanks - I finally got a hold of her last night. I usually give her two options and last week it was Tuna Noodle casserole or homemade Mac N Cheese. She said that she thought that the Mac N Cheese sounded good for this week so Mac N Cheese it is. If you guys have any other ideas - they will be more than welcome!

Welcome to MFP - It's a great place to be. I'd go crazy weighing myself every day - I weigh once a week. Monday mornings - keeps me on track through the weekends. But do what works for you. Good luck! Steph

Just keep in mind that just because you have this surgery it doesn't change why you eat - or why you eat junk. The surgery doesn't stop you from making poor food decisions. The surgery doesn't take care of the head issues behind your eating. Just my opinion, but the "quick fix" is not how I chose to live my life - I hope…
-
I'd kick up the exercise - add more intense cardio - but that's just me. Personally I eat most of my exercise calories.
-
May I ask you a question? If you so dedicated to lose the weight - dedicated enough that you are willing to have a life changing surgery - and you have already shown yourself that you can lose weight pre-opp - why can't you take that dedication to lose the weight with out the surgery? Just out of curiosity.

Apples, peanut butter, almonds, walnuts, dried fruit.

How's the sodium in it??
