Aw, hun, I don't have any practical advice but big (((hugs))) for what you're going through. I know it must be so difficult. It's wonderful that you are working to try and be healthy. You said you're seeing a nutritionist tomorrow - but do you see any other dr's, like psychiatrists or psychologists or whichever is the…

Put cheese on everything that cheese is good on. LOL Full-fat adds more calories than the low-fat varieties. Greek yogurt has a lot of protein and a good deal of calories, too. If you don't like it plain (I don't, yuck!) you can make it into a smoothie with fruit. Oh yeah, fruit. A banana is around 100-120 calories.…

Make sure you have a good selection of weights to work with - you will be surprised how heavy you can go on certain exercises.

Yep. I just finished the Burn phase last week, started Push phase today. :-)

Keep in mind also that sometimes the person typing a response intends it to be read in a very matter-of-fact tone, however with a lack of actual tone and facial expression to go with the words, sometimes the intent can be misinterpreted. Yes sometimes people are just plain mean/rude, but sometimes they really are trying to…

alrodas - "Hungry Girl" already has a cookbook out that has 300 recipes under 300 calories. It doesn't specifically say it's for the person to eat 1200 calories per day, but basically you could easily have breakfast, lunch, dinner, and one or more snacks and have it add up to 1200 with no problem at all from her cookbook.…

Unsweetened almond milk is only 35 calories per cup. ;-)

Well, I have been trying really hard to pay attention to my alignment and keep my weight on the front leg, and things have been MUCH better! Yesterday I did my last Burn Circuit 3 and I felt the lunges in my butt but no issues in the knees whatsoever, so perfect! I'm using 20 lbs for the lower body exercises currently, I…

Mine is around 58. I got so excited when I realized it was under 60. It was more in the 80-90 range before I started working out last year.
-
I add mine to smoothies. Sometimes I try out recipes that use it to make high-protein muffins and such. I haven't even tried it with just plain water.

Pretty sure those get deleted b/c it's illegal.

A lot of people like the Leslie Sansone 'Walk Away the Pounds' dvds - she typically includes multiple workouts that equal out to a couple of different speeds/distances (like I've seen one that had a '1 mile' workout, '2 mile', maybe a couple of other longer ones as well). They are all walking in place with some other…

I know you can normally find the Polar FT4 (comes with chest strap, and I love mine) on Amazon for around $60-$70 with free shipping. And I think that's the cheapest model that Polar makes that will estimate calories. Sometimes you can find them a little cheaper on eBay but it's very hit-or-miss. I do not know much about…

Totally off-topic, but I just noticed your screenname is freaking amazing. :-D

Actually, yeah. LOL Well and some diet drinks have a better flavor than others. I can't stand diet coke or diet pepsi, but I love diet mt dew and coke zero. After drinking diet sodas for years, I can't stand the taste of regular sodas now, too much sugar.

Some people actually are highly sensitive to certain things, so yeah if you're one of those people that get very specific problems when they ingest it then you're better off avoiding it. I'd hazard a guess that issues as severe as yours are not very common, but still obviously a huge concern for you personally.

^ I fixed that for you. LOL

It doesn't 'make' you eat. It may be possible that it gives some people cravings but it doesn't 'make' you do anything, you have control over what you put into your mouth. Especially if you're on a site like MFP and logging everything you eat.

My diet mt. dew has 10 calories per bottle. So I'm good.

Soda companies don't claim that their product is good for your health, they claim that it's delicious. And Man created the artificial heart, kidney dialysis, pasteurization, basic sanitation, indoor plumbing, and a bunch of other things that a lot of people find fairly nifty. ;-)

I have continued drinking about 2 diet mt. dews per day (16.9-20 oz bottles) throughout my weightloss. It didn't stop me from losing 42 lbs. And for real, I have 2 small kids and sometimes I need the caffeine just to feel normal. I do also drink water, but I can't stand plain water so I flavor it with those little powdered…

Does it have a chest strap, and have you been washing it after each use?
-
My FT4 does everything I need it to do. All I care about is a decent calorie estimation and it does that for about $20-$30 cheaper than the FT7. ;-) They both come with the chest strap and will only perform heartrate and calorie functions if you are wearing it.

I lost 1 lb every 4 days for the first few months. So just over 7 lbs in the first month. I only had 40-45 to lose in the first place, so any faster would not have been a healthy rate of weightloss for me personally.
-
It took me 5 months, but I only wanted to lose 40 total and I took it the slow-and-steady route of following MFP recommendations and eating back my exercise calories. People who have a lot more weight to lose can lose the same number of pounds more quickly. :-)

You mi like it better if you play around with styling it differently yourself. I seldom like how a hairdresser styles my hair (usually ends up too popfy for my liking) but once I do it myself and just straighten it and let it lay naturally I usually like it better. I wear my hair up in a ponytail about 90% of the time. If…

I'd think it would be harder to cheat on the stair climber, you either have to keep up or fall off. LOL

You go girl, you look fabulous!!!

I had 3, 5, 8, 10, and 15 previously. I went out and bought 12, 20, and 25. I'm already using the 20's on some of the lower body exercises, thinking I'm going to have to get bigger weights before the end of the program for lower body. I really should have just bought a good adjustable set.

That's what the sales lady is warning about! Lifting your heart right out of your chest!
