So happy to hear that lots of people lost! I generally don't over indulge during the holidays but it was a combination of the move and just having so many restaurants to try. I'm really trying to get back to eatting at home and spending some time working out. Did 60 situps today, going to do 60 more before bed and tomorrow…

I come back and there's like 5 pages to read! haha *goes to read*

Yeah just in water and internal junk you can loose 2-5 pounds in a single day easily! But it's not 'real' weight, it's just built up stuff in your system. But along with it you could be loosing some real weight to if your doing all your stuff right :) So it is defiantly a good sign! When they say only loose 2 a week they…

No matter the HRM you get, you should usually take 2-3 readings to get an average. Though compared to the workout machines at the gym, the wrist watch was always the same as what the gym equipment said my HR was. Give or take 10, but that can change in seconds anyways.
-
I'm pretty sure my HRM was only 10 bucks at Walmart. Just a simple watch like one.
-
Do you have an iphone? There's an app on the iphone that can track your HR effectively. I downloaded it, tried it, and compared it to my HRM Wrist-Watch and it was accurate. It works by turning the flash on the camera, and you rest your finger against the camera and it lights it up and it measures the fluctuation of…

I have PCOS and Pre-Diabetes 26/175 Pounds Been on the pill and metformin for nearly a decade. I would LOVE to have more friends on MFP that had PCOS! :D Feel free to add me! All of you!

Sedentary is 8-10 hours of sitting for the day at a desk (or playing video games). I'd say if your up 1/3rd of your day moving around, that your probably lightly active.

Alright, it's settled. I'm going to get some lettuce to make my sandwich with. My fiance won't eat whole wheat bread so we end up throwing half of it out anyways, and I don't really do toast or anything to often. Thanks guys for the brilliant idea. This is a wonderful forum. You all are so active and have such great (and…
-
@Killagb - Yeah, I don't need to avoid fats at all. :) My main enemies right now are sodium and sugar/carbs.
-
Honestly I haven't considered using Lettuce as the 'bread' before. This sounds rather interesting. Seriously contemplating it now. I've never really made 'wraps' before so I'm not experienced with it.

@Acg67 I'm PCOS and Pre-Diabetic so yeah. I actually read that as 'mental disorders' at first and was like wait is he calling me retarded? Then I reread it, haha.

He says he'll try something sugar-free, but if it's gross I have to go buy him a regular bottle of something. LOL.
-
You just might be brilliant.

I am trying to be careful with my carbs and eat mostly Low-GI Foods for my blood sugar. I can't remember the last time I had real Maple Syrup. That Maple Grove Sugar Free looked good. I think I'll see what options my store has when I head there. I don't think he'll even consider using the sugar free stuff so I'll have to…

@Yanicka1 - Yeah, I'm not going to try Shakeology. I don't want to do any temporary diet's to get me started, I want to make gradual changes to my eatting habits.
-
Yeah. I don't expect to drop even 1 pound per week. I know it's a very slow process. I'm just trying to make changes more then a 'diet'. I don't want to deprive myself of the normal food I eat, I just want to be more self conscious and where I can make replacements for better things and try to fit in more natural whole…

Thanks everyone! @Tebbs915 Yeah I've been working fairly solidly at a 1200 calorie diet for a month and it's not really showing any signs of helping, plus working out 3-5 times a week. I certainly feel better, but no weight changes so I figure it's time not only to eat low calories but to also get some low GI and low Carb…

Over how long of a period of time? Amazing progress!~

..I think having to much fiber is part of the issue, lol. Well hopefully it's just some passing digestive thing. I surely hope it is.
-
I'd also recommend a Multivitamin and maybe a B12 Complex Vitamin. Not as a replacement, you still need more food with how busy you are. But just in case you miss out on any essentials.
-
Even if you buy those protein bars or some kind of meal bars--they're not exceptionally healthy but they got the things you need. Pop those in your purse and make sure whatever you do, you eat before you go to work at the very least!

Here's one I enjoy watching, I've not really tried any of them out yet though. Still working on building up some endurance. http://www.bodyrock.tv or their YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/user/charliejames1975 They've been focusing on doing HIIT videos for like 3 years now. Fairly simple but strenuous activities you can…

I went jogging for 2-3 Minutes two weeks ago (this was after a nearly 100% seditary lifestyle for the past six months) and my heart rate went from 70 to 170 in that time frame, and my chest ached and my lungs burned. Now I can jog and it only goes to 150 and I don't feel the ache or burn. What's the safest level I should…

Its not rude. Its rude if they're talking and you do it and start ignoring them. I walked with my friend just last night and was wondering if we would chat or listen to music. We both put our eat buds in and occasionally talked, but mostly listened to music. Ask your friend to bring their music and tell them you have a few…

My problem isn't cravings so much as I actually get faint during my period. My period is in the upper 10% people as far as how heavy it is (so annoying). It makes it hard to work out when I feel weak. I'm so lucky I don't get cramps very often, an occasional punch in the gut feeling but rarely. I really feel for those who…

If you eat to few calories, you'll actually maintain or hold onto weight. You have to eat enough calories in order to burn calories. Limiting your sugar is good though, try to get your sugar from natural sources like fruits and honey. Fitness to! Exercise, do sit ups, squats, walk a few miles a week at least and be sure…

added you Wolf. Looking forward to nagging each other in game about keeping active on MFP while kicking some summoner butt. I'm out, going for a walk. Welcome and I look forward to following your progress.
