*Duplicate removed. It's too early for the message boards to be messing with my head. LOL

I'm 5'2", starting weight here was 125.6, although my highest weight was 140's I think. I'm currently 116.4 (Although weigh in is Friday, so my ticker still thinks I'm 117.8). I had trouble when I first hit 116's, then shot back up to 118, then 119/120 for two weeks. I think it had something to do with hormones for me. I…

I'm 5'2", usually walk at 4.0, and run 5.0-7.0 depending on distance. It's really different for everyone, based on how long they've been active, how tall they are, and just where they are comfortable doing it. Try not to compare yourself to others. Lots of people have luck doing the Couch to 5K program to work on both…

Under Armour makes compression clothing to help support the muscles groups. I'm not sure if other brands make it too. Personally it makes me feel claustrophobic, but they may help.

Is there some task you can move to that part of the day, to redirect your mind? That way, it eventually associates that time with cleaning or a walk, or playing with kids, or helping with homework instead of eating. I think I used to eat just because I couldn't think of something else to do. It really made my stomach feel…

I'm 5'2" and 115.8 as of this morning. I'm older than you, almost 32 now, but feel free to add me.

I finished C25K yesterday, although I ran 5 miles just because. I'm officially starting tomorrow on Bridge to 10K W1D1. I'm actually going to run just three days a week (if I can hold out) this time. Might cross train on the rowing machine one day and do weights a couple others.

That's okay, I'm in the US also. Noticed your name, my older brother is a Naval Officer out in San Diego on the USS Stockdale

I applaud you. I have one 11 month old, and she's all over the place all the time. I can't imagine chasing two around.

I'm 5'2" at around 118 pounds and wear a size 4/6. You may have more muscle than you think, if you're wearing a 2, I would think you're well into a healthy size. Don't worry about the scale number or BMI if you feel healthy where you are at now. Personally I'm working still because I have a lot of fat on my thighs and butt…

Me too. 101.2 - 136.7 lbs I can't imagine being that low, although I was in high school. I'm aiming for 110-115.

As long as you pace yourself right, I think it'll be fine. I'll probably start this on Monday. I'd been running 4 days a week, but I think I'll drop to 3 and add in weights two days.

You must work with my ex. I could never get him to shower. Kept saying he hated water. His hair smelled like bacon.

I was thinking of getting protein powder. My stomach has been really irritated lately. I used to eat a lot more. My husband hunts, so I have lots of very lean venison in the freezer. Just haven't been able to eat it lately.

I do eat lots of cookies, when they're in the house. I made some last Saturday with my niece. I'll try to work on the sodium, didn't know it was too high. Maybe I had just gotten too lax on the fresh foods and hadn't noticed. I have a garden, so I have lots of fresh foods, and try to only keep whole grains in the house.

Oops, I thought it was public. Unlocked it. I don't think much about the fluctuations, just the downward trend. Honestly I'm just content with being able to run again. I just don't want to gain the weight back.

I'm Amber, born and raised in Ohio. I've lived all over the state between work and school. Right now I live in a little town sort of in the middle of Cincinnati, Dayton, and Columbus. I love living in a state that has all four season, but the cold is my favorite. I miss all the snow I got living in northern ohio since I…

It can be a splurge, but I always recommend going to a running store and getting your stride analyzed and shoes fitted to your natural style.

Personally I don't stretch a lot before I run, I do walk warmup though most of the time. I stretch a decent amount after, and usually again when I'm headed to bed, because it helps my muscles feel better. I'm curious to hear answers to this too.

I never knew a Tom that didn't make me want to bang my head into a wall. But I try to assume they're not all bad guys. I like shark week, fun idea.
-
This is true. If you're new to running it's always best to take it easy. I run extra, but I've been a runner a long time. I was out of shape, so I figured C25K would ease me back in without having to think to much about it.
-
I just run one extra day, for C25K. I'm on week 8, usually I just double day 2. If I'm feeling worn down, I just run easy, instead of pushing like I normally would. Just listen to your body.

Darn, double post.

I have a 10 month old, who still can't sleep through the night. I had insomnia before her, but now it's worse. I had used this an excuse for my lack of exercise and extra weight. After I started exercising I felt so much better. I set the days a week I'd work out and stuck to them, and slowly I started to feel better. I…

You'll do great. This place really helps. I spent 9 months blaming my lack of weight loss on my newborn baby. I got tired of making excuses and signed up here in September. I've seen a huge difference in just 7 weeks.

My wonderful husband read something about it last week, and came home with two big jars. He knows me well. LOL.

I'm 5'2" currently 116.8 pounds, initial goal was 115, but I think I'm going to 110 based on the fat still left on my hips and butt. Eatting between 1250 and 1500 calories a day, depending on exercise, with an occasional meal out that puts me up to 1800-2000. Lost 8.8 pounds in 7 weeks. Started at 125.6

I used to run a lot, and haven't in a while now. I was embarrassed to admit I had to start from scratch with C25K. The first few weeks I thought I'd never get back to running again, but as the weeks progressed, I felt better and better about it. The turning point was week 5 day 3, where you do the 20 minute run. I was…
