I eat lower a day or two before and after the event so that I can enjoy myself without having to be too conscious about what I'm eating.

click where it says Exercise on top, then My Exercises. Your list will show up on the left. Click on the one you want and Delete will be on the right at the bottom. That should delete it from your list.

how long did it take you to get down to black coffee? I'm working on black teas and coffee with no milk, but still can't seem to get past the increasing bitterness as I scale down the milk.
-
Love it. I make my own though, not the store bought stuff.
-
I use the 1 cup to mean 8 oz

I don't eat back exercise calories. I eat at a deficit, anything else I consider bonus.

Listen to your docs, and the way you are feeling . Never mind what other people are saying. You will end up eating that low if you get the surgery anyway. I have a friend who did it, and he was barely able to eat much of anything after the surgery because he got full so fast. The main reason the surgery works is because it…

My Venus sis, you are awesome!! I love how far you have come and still making progress!!

keep in mind weight loss is not linear. There will be ups and downs. Look at the trend over time. If your weight continues to rise then be concerned. One week can be due to a number of issues...TOM, water retention, etc.

Eat less than the 1200 (think 600 - 800 depending on how much you plan to drink) a day or two before and after hen night. That way you save cals to compensate for the extra cals from the drinks, and still stay within your calorie limits. A friend of mine calls it bookending.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with this. At my height, and lifting heavy 4 days a week, I gain weight at 1200. Everyone has to find what works for them. For me, an average of 1000 calories/day works for me to drop weight. But again that's me. Also I look at my calories on a weekly basis rather than daily. I use 7000…

I understood also. 1200 for your height is a good starting point to see if your weight drops. Calories are king. While 1200 calories of "healthy" eating is going to feel better than 1200 calories of junk food, calories are still calories. You said yourself, the calories you were eating before were higher and that is why…

If you were active before and now not bc of the medical reasons, you're definitely going to have to cut down the amount you've been eating. Try to get to the 1200 if you can but like d9123 said, don't stuff yourself. Eating calorie dense foods will help. Keep an eye on how your weight and waist measurement is going week to…

How tall are you? The amount of calories you need in order to lose weight is going to be different between someone who is 5'3" like I am compared to someone who is say 5'7". Someone taller than me can get away eating more calories than I can and still drop weight.

Awesome!! I do Eat Stop Eat, which is technically the same thing as 5:2

It varies from woman to woman, but for me the bloating adds water weight as well as inches, especially around my waist. I notice at least 1" - 2" off of normal. Keep tracking and after a few months you'll start to notice what the trend is for you. I weigh and measure shoulders, waist and hips weekly.
-
I weigh the same day each week first thing in the morning regardless of my period. I already know I tend to bloat around my TOM and take that into consideration. I don't worry so much about week to week fluctuations but monitor the trend over time.
-
Think it has more to do with what you ate more than the fact that you ate back your exercise calories. Water weight can fluctuate a lot during the day and even day to day. If you're going to weigh everyday then be more concerned with the trends over time instead of the day to day. The day to day changes will drive you…

It's not a DVD program, but you can do it at home. That was one of the main reasons I liked the program. You have the choice of training at the gym or at home, and with a toddler at home when I first started, I was looking for the flexibility of a home workout. I was a little concerned about following a written program as…

I do Venus Index workouts 4 days a week.

I train with weights 4 days a week. 2 days of cardio or yoga if I have time. Keep my calories on the lowish side of 800 - 1000, with the occasional planned high calorie day if I have an event to go to. I do IF 2x each week. As my weight and measurements get lower, I will slowly increase calories. My diary is also public. I…

No the original 1200.

I'm going to disagree with the others. Before I say you're eating too much or too little, how tall are you? Depending on your height you may or may not be eating enough. Adjust your intake by 200 - 300 calories either up or down and see how that goes. I do agree with the poster who said to add in some weight training and…

You can log them under a general cardio session. For what it's worth, I don't usually include exercise calories in my daily intake calculations.
-
Depends on what the person's goals are. As an example, I usually don't eat back exercise calories. So if I burn 200 calories on exercise, I'm going to get the message that I'm under calories for that day.
-
Off days I usually do some form of cardio and if I have time yoga. I try to stay somewhat active even if I don't train on off days.

Posts like these you'll usually want to post in the Venus community to get a faster response. In response to your question, I fast 2x each week for 36 hours. Being a shorty, I don't get a huge amount of calories to work with and fasting this way allows me to be able to eat more on my eating days. My "hell hours" are…

Hi Dana, You will love doing VI at home. You'll have to most likely invest in some heavier weights. I purchased a set of adjustable weights that go up to 90lbs bc the hubby uses them also, but definitely worth it.
-
I almost always burn more than I take in. I don't eat back exercise calories, I consider those bonus in my weight loss progress.

The mistake is on Week 2 Day 2. It says 3 sets for each exercise. Because the exercises are already repeated 3 times, it should be 1 set for each exercise.
