A year ago I was right where you are. I started at 333. Today I am 239. I have had my days where I think "why am I doing this?" and then I think of all the times when you need to sit in a folding chair and think "will it hold me". Or you have to stay behind while everyone else goes on a carnival ride, because your afraid…

I like petite carrots and peanut butter for a quick snack. For a good protein bar I eat the Pure Protein Bar Chocolate & Peanut butter. You can get them at GNC, but you can also get them at Walmart for much cheaper. ($6.99 for a box of 6)

I personally am just coming out of starvation mode. I measure everything and I wear a HRM whenever I work out. I stopped losing weight for 2 months and tried everything I could think of to get my weight loss going. I increased my calories by 150 - 200 calories per day and a week and a half later I have started losing…

Sorry I didn't check in till just now! I usually go to be about 8:30 when I am going to the gym in the morning. About 10 on other nites. How did you make out on Monday? Did you get to go in the morning? I don't know what time your kids get up the in the morning, but when I get back from the gym I get my hubby and daughter…

If you don't mind me asking, do you know what your netting for calories on a daily basis? I have been going through the same thing and just found out that I needed to increase my calories! I had actually put myself into starvation mode. I've increased my calories by 150 -200 calories per day and after about 1-1/2 weeks the…

Awesome Post! I have done this so many times and have felt exactly the same way. I believe this time is for real, for me too! I have never lost this much weight and am so looking forward to the end result. Keep up the great work and know that you can do it . Keep telling that little voice that it has no power here…

You might be burning a lot more calories and not eating enough. I would try increasing your calorie intake and see how you feel. Also do you take a protein shake after your workout? I am a lot less sore the next day as long as I have it. It's got to be a shake high in Whey Isolates so it gets into your muscles quickly. I…

I do the getting up early thing to get in my workouts. I get to the gym at 4:30 on Tuesday, Thursday & Friday mornings. Then on Saturday mornings I get there about 5:45 am. I was never a morning person but I really find the early mornings work for me. I feel so much better all day long.

On Monday & Wednesday nights I work out for 1/2 an hour with my trainer. Usually we do strength training. Mondays are upper body and Wednesdays are lower body. He's also been introducing some Metabolic Exercise. On Tuesday, Thursday & Friday mornings I do core & cardio. On Tuesdays & Thursday's for cardio I do interval…

I received a Polar PT7 for X-mas and absolutely love it! Paid about $80 from Amazon!

I work out with a trainer 2x a week and I love it. I'm still in a position that I need that person (that I trust) outside my family, pushing, encouraging and questioning me. I'm getting a lot better, but I still like knowing he's there.
-
I only wear mine when I work out. I turn it on before I warm up and turn it off when I'm done stretching. Good luck with yours! I love mine.

I love my Polar PT7. The strap is very comfortable and easy to care for. I was amazed at the difference between my actual calories burned, the machine, and MFP. My actual calories burned are lower than MFP suggests.

I use protein shakes only after a workout. I have tried many kinds but find that the GNC Amp Wheybolic 60 works best for me. It's high in whey isolates so the protein gets to your muscles quickly and I find that I'm am no where near as sore the next day.

I had 3 oz of chicken & petite carrots w/2 tbsp of Natural peanut butter. 315 calories.

My husband and I make up a batch of trail mix: Dry roasted peanuts, cashews, almonds and a few raisins. We measure them out to 1/4 C and put them in snack bags. This is what we'll grab for an on the go snack.

Feel free to add me too!

I alternate between: 3 oz of meat (chicken, pork, or a turkey burger) plus carrots and peanut butter and a salad made with spinach, cucumbers, carrots, tortilla strips, and 3 oz of meat (usually chicken). I have that with raspberry vinegrette dressing.

I went to the doctor's with my 16 year old daughter and when she got on the scale she broke down into tears. She weighted 198 pounds. We decided that it was time to get back to the gym. When my husband and daughter went there to sign up the gentlemen who signed us up was a health coach. He encouraged us to try a trainer.…

Congratulations! You look so happy!

Hi! I'm 42 and still have about 90 pounds to lose. Feel free to add me too!

Your doing great! Keep it up! I started at 333 on 12/06/10 and am now down to 243. I am not taking any diet pills, just doing it with exercise and calorie counting! You can do it too!
-
I could use more too. Feel free to add me.

Congratulations! You sound like your heading in the right direction and have a great attitude. You can do it! I have been dealing with a thyroid issue myself and know how frustrating it can be. Friend me if you wish and we'll help motivate each other!

I agree. You probably didn't have enough to eat. I have to watch what I eat as well. Can't be anything with sugar in it. I feel like I'm going to pass out part way through my workout if I do. My daughter did the same thing though. Our first workout with the trainer, we had just finished and she said "Mom, I don't feel…

Love GNC's Amp protein powder. Great for post workout. Tastes great and I find I'm nowhere near as sore the next day. It's expensive but I find well worth it and I only use 1 scoop after each workout.
-
Absolutely! I could not have done it without him! He is my biggest supporter and cheerleader!

My daughter had a lot of intestinal issues when she was younger and she was tested for Celiac Disease. All of her tests came back negative. We put her on the Celiac diet anyways. The difference was amazing. She feels so much better. (Enough that a teenage girl won't eat what all her friends are eating at a party because…
