NOT an urban legend. Popular when my grandmother was a kid. You took the green pill to start losing weight & the red pull to stop. There was a display in the window of a shop in town. One of the green pills had hatched & was wiggling across the display.

I just moved from there! We lived on Oceanside for 11 months. Just moved to Maryland. Ive got another 15lbs to lose. Feel free to add me if you'd like.

Feel free to add me. 29 years old & 25lbs to lose. Currently 10lbs down.

Most yoga classes/videos should have the warmup built in. That said, literally anyone can upload a video to YouTube, so there's no way to guarantee that the person you're watching is qualified. ALWAYS listen to your body & never do something that hurts just to force yourself into a shape. If doing a cardio warmup first…

The not falling over kind. Lol. Having an imbalance in your balance (lolz) is very common. Just like you probably have a side that's slightly stronger, more flexible or better at fine motor skills. To improve it, just keep doing balancing things. Maybe try out a yoga class. Keep doing the split squats. Stand around on one…

Agreed. Check out his program, Strong Curves.

Congrats on your progress! You can keep it up. You've been there before, so you know it's possible.

I'm assuming your fire is going to have a grate to cook stuff over? Or you'll bring one? If that's the case, any meat. Cheeseburgers, grilled chicken, pork chops. Corn can also be grilled. You can do those aluminum foil wraps. You can do all kinds of stuff in them. Baked potatoes, chopped potatoes, all kinds of veggies…

Try googling weight training plans for machines or something like that. Yes, most of the plans I've seen recommended around here use free weights instead of weight machines. Mostly because free weights are more versatile & force your body to work harder than the super controlled weight machines. You could also try…

Are you REALLY asking an Internet forum for medical advice? Make him go to a doctor! Only a medical professional can answer this question for HIS body.

I'm sure others have already said it, but this sounds like a genetics issue. If you're genetically predisposed to cellulite & sadlebags, you may never completely be rid of them. That said, if you want to firm up your butt, you should start a lifting routine that is written specifically for your butt. Strong Curves. It's…

Don't be awake at 1 in the morning. The longer you're awake, the more likely you are to eat more. Seriously, there have been multiple studies that link being awake late at night to increased calorie consumption. (And no, I don't have links to said studies. If you're that interested, do some googling) Your body needs sleep…

Oh, and keep in mind, just like any other treatment, chiropractic care is not a fix-all. It's supposed to be one of many things to keep you healthy. Still important to exercise, stretch, etc to keep your body healthy & functioning well.
-
Yes! Chiropractors are the best! Get recommendations from people you know, so you can find a good one. Make sure you talk to him/her & keep communication open. You might feel sore or tired after the first few adjustments, but adjustments should make you feel BETTER over time, not worse! If you're in pain when you leave or…

Outer glute*, not outer quad. Sorry, I mistyped.
-
Do you have a book? It addresses this issue of substitutions. It also explains how he wrote the program. Essentially: glute dominant move supersetting with pull. Quad dominant with push. Hamstring dominant. Outer quad. Straight abs, twisting abs. Supermans can't replace back extensions because back extensions are quad…

Yoga is the best! Congrats to you for getting back to it

Strong Curves program. Hip thrusts, glute bridges.

Me! I'm 5'6", 29yo. currently 155lbs & would like to get down to 140. (Down 10lbs from 165!) I'm getting off birth control at the end of July (not trying, just not not trying lol). I know I won't be at 140 by then, but I have no idea how long it will take to for me to get preggers. Just want to keep going down until the…

This. As a newbie, find a program & stick to it. You simply don't have the knowledge yet to build your own effective program. I personally (as a female newbie lifter) am loving Strong Curves.

How long ago did you start lifting? I had this problem for the first 2 weeks when I first started lifting. I upped my calories & protien for a while. My body got used to the new activity & I dropped my calories down again. Kept my protien high (100g/day) for a while longer & it did the trick.

The closer you are to your goal weight, the harder it is to lose. You say you've already lost 35, so without more info, I'm assuming you're approaching your end goal. 2lbs a week is probably not realistic. Set it to 1lb or .5lb a week. Eat more. Then you won't be starving. You will lose slower, but slow weightloss is…

I never said it wasn't possible. Yes, if someone really wanted to drink to excess & also lose weight, it can be done. But judging from OP'S reaction to suggestions on this thread (aka, coming up with excuses for their behavior & why it can't change.) they're not willing to put in that work. At this point I'm wondering why…

I LOVE sweets. My downfall. I keep most stuff out of the house. I only buy high quality stuff that comes in small serving sizes, so I feel more satisfied when I only eat a little. For example: a fancy, flavored dark chocolate Lindt bar where in only eat 2 squares as opposed to a cheap Hershey bar (ick). The less I eat it,…

You fit it in by not drinking 2 bottles on wine by yourself in one night! Gracious. The question is: what do you want more? To be slim/healthy or get sloshed every weekend? not the answer you want, I'm sure. But welcome to reality.

Why the hell would you bother counting while sick? Get well. Good gracious.
