I wish I liked chocolate or milk....LOL! I don't like either all too well. But I might take the advice and at least drink a Sugar Free Carnation instant breakfast drink when I get home if I am still not hungry.

My sister had WLS and went to the gym, did zumba, P90X etc (at least an hour committed every other day). All my mom did was walk three miles a day. But from the people I have know personally having it done, if they are not exercising they do have the excess skin problems moreso than if exercising.

I like carbs too! I am up for some good ideas. Unfortunately the carbs I enjoy are the starches not the sweets. So the sweet idea would not work. And I usually follow sweet with something salty. UGH!

Morbidly obese....ugh!!! I despise that term. That is why I am here to get out of that "catagory"! Welcome to MFP!! I too am here for a LONG journey looking for fun, friendly people to help pass the time whether it be the motivation, the kind words that shun off the negative thoughts, a laugh, a good recipe, whatever!!! If…

I can't find these :(

Wow!!! I can't imagine how it must feel. You have done a wonderful job!! I am 5'4" with 150+ to lose. :( But your pictures and success are a true inspiration. Thank you

Thanks for all the input! I have always had good numbers and all (other than scale numbers). I have no health concerns (other than my ankle I keep hurting at work...UGH) I am just tired of feeling like a big, fat slob (ummmm, no offense to anyone on here overweight/obese...just the words I often here when I hear people…

I have a few of the books and think it was a big waste of money. Others love them though. I think it is just a matter of what fits the needs of each individual person. Maybe check the library first?

Thank you for sharing!

Set it at sedentary activity and O exercise. It says now 1500 calorie. So I will keep it set there until I am up and moving my normal again. Thanks again for all the help!

thank you for sharing!!!!!

From reading previous posts similar to yours, you are not eating enough.

Thanks for all the responses. New to this so I just didn't want this to hinder me continuing. I am a book of excuses and TRUST ME, I already had to ward off the thought that this is a sign I am not suppose to workout and lose weight! GRRRRRR!!! The negativity barrier is not going to get me this time if I can help it!!!!!!!

Funny how all studies of the same thing get different answers. WW has preached it was what helps people lose weight for years and they have much success. My doctors have always said journal what I eat. The nutritionists said journal what you eat. And my psychologist after my divorce also offered that same advice. WOW!!!…

<VERY guilty of MUCH self-doubt!!!! Sorry to offend others with my self-doubt. When you hear so many negative things for so long you start to believe them. :( I have to overcome negativity in my journey and I realized that before I started. Negativity has been my defeat and I can't let it hinder me this time. Thanks for…

Good luck....looking to lose about the same or more here...so I sorta know what you are going through. My ex husband and ex fiance were both truck drivers so I know the routine you likely have. Its not an easy job out there, but everything we get in life goes through the hands of some form of truck driver.

This place is definitely awesome! Welcome! I am here for a LONG stay. Friend me if you would like

Thanks again. It was not such a big deal about having to log high calories. It was just a shock when you think you are making better choices than normal for a veggie to be more than the burger. LOL! (Only been at this two weeks, by asking this on the onion now I will know the best ways to do this.)
-
I don't mind having it listed as the higher calories. LOL! I just about hit the floor when I saw it came up more calories than the burger! 46 calories is what I was told for a raw onion. That's why I wondered if cooking it changed it. Maybe the 130 was grilled with butter some kind of oil??? Thanks for your help!
-
I didn't measure... I just used the whole medium onion. Never thought it or the pepper would be that big of an issue on calories. I am just shocked that the onion is more than the burger!!!

I have been over protein and fiber often in the two weeks I have been here. First week I lost 10 lbs. Unfortunately this way in was also start of TOM and I have yet to figure out how to work around that issue yet so gained 1 lb.
-
I should read it just so I have an understand rather than just less calories more movement.
-
I just started Sept 13 with 100+ to lose also so I will be here most of your journey. Looking forward to seeing your success stories. Add me if you wish.
-
I know your situation well (though I want to lose double your amount). Feel free to add if you would like
-
TOM is visiting me this week, so my goal is just not to gain any!!!!

Chobani is my favorite out of the ones I have tried.

I steered from nuts because of the calories too. With the exception of my Fruit and nut trail mix I make on occasion. I am not a fan of walnuts they seem to have a bitter taste to me. I love brown sugar and pecans in oatmeal (one of the only ways I will eat oatmeal). The only nuts I like to snack on are cashews or wasabi…

I want to lose double that amount and I agree with it being overwhelming. I struggle with the "I can do this" attitude. I wish I could say I have it every day but I have to push through. Thankfully there is a lot of support on this site and seeing other people posting the same struggles gives motivation and takes away the…
