When you stall in StrongLifts, take off 10% off the weight and start over. But work back up doing it as a 3x5, not 5x5. I cannot stress tihs enough. 5x5 is NOT SUSTAINABLE. This is anecdotal, but I went a long time making strength gains while in calorie deficit. I think for us "mere mortal" types there is so much room between where we are now vs our potential that we can pretty much go indefinitely.

I feel ya... My latest thinking on this is I'm doing something along the lines of "The Rule of 50"... but I count the joker sets and down sets toward the 50. Then I just make up the slack at the end. Or, in the case of yesterday I just did 1 set of 10 at the end and called it a day.

It's ok for alcoholics to drink as long as it's a mixed drink or beer. Because the other ingredients slow down the alcohol spike. It's just plain common sense.
