I mean, I don't care at the gym. I'm not there to look good or find a man or anything. But are you seriously asking why people (in this case, women) are concerned with whether a photo on the Internet is flattering?
-
Is this a serious question?

But the teacher isn't "assigning exercise as punishment." That's where people are getting emotional. This isn't forcing a kid to do 100 laps in the heat because he mouthed off. This is just changing how gym class (which is supposed to be, by definition, exercise) is run.

That I live in Florida and can't get a decent orange.
-
Since it's gym class, I think this is appropriate. If it were her math or English teacher or a parent, it would be different. Basically, the gym teacher is saying, "If you don't follow rules, you don't get to do the fun stuff." In gym class, that just means you do a different form of exercise because it's gym class.

I went through something similar the last few months and I think (and have good reason to believe) it was a medication I was on. It didn't start until I'd been on the med a few months, but now that I'm off of it, I'm back to normal.

So basically you're learning lies and how to con people out of money.

I live in Florida now. I grew up in New York. I miss seasons ...

Both are correct. "Autumn" is more British English. "Fall" is more American. I try to use autumn more simply because it's less confusing sometimes.

Well, you would BE the weirdo in this situation, so I agree it would help weed out some weirdos.
-
You're mad because you didn't notice your clothes didn't fit anymore and no one pointed it out to you? I always assume people can tell they're gaining weight ... This is YOUR responsibility. People will point out you're losing because it's considered a compliment in our society. Most people don't want to be rude and mean…

There is no way it's 2 pounds. Sorry, but no.
-
It would depend on a lot of things. My hair's pretty thin while I have a friend whose hair is really thick. She can't wear hers long because the weight gives her headaches. Mine is super light and it's down past my waist. Also, I doubt it's enough to really worry about. If you're this ridiculous about weight loss, you…

This sounds like a challenge ...

Recovery was easy. I had two other procedures at the same time, so mine took a little longer than most, but I was back to light exercise in a week. I was mostly tired. I didn't even need the pain relievers. And I can eat ANYTHING again! You won't regret it.

"The doctor told me that as soon as I start taking the pills, my metabolism will work better." If you're lucky, yes. But this isn't necessarily true. Also, regardless of the blood tests and levels, the "right amount" of medication will take a long time to figure out. He'll put you on it, have more tests, adjust…

You have "thyroid"? You mean hypothyroid? Do you have Hashimoto's? Are you on Synthroid? Bottom line is it affects everyone differently, the symptoms never really go away and you just have to do the best you can. I have trouble losing weight. I can't lose if I eat more than 500 calories a day, regardless of exercise. Some…

Do you have a "modern" TV? Most have the option of setting parental controls. Do that so he can't watch anything. Have your husband set a password on his phone. And maybe seek counseling for your son.
-
Are you on the name brand or a generic? If you're on the generic, get thee on Synthroid. Weight gain isn't a side effect of the drug, but it is a side effect of your condition and the generic is just not as effective as the name brand in this case. This is well-known. Also consider that no matter how well medicated you…

None of this is why people consider the relationship abusive.
-
Well, it was a direct rip=off of Twilight, so it's tough to say. Both are insulting to the idea of literature and movies.

Yer a poet, Harry!

Um ... The CEO of the company that owns MFP is a huge Trump supporter. The ads you see are based solely on your Internet search history. Stop looking at political stuff and you won't see political ads.
-
It sounds like you just ran into some not nice people. I'm not super fit-looking and have never had anything like this happen to me even once.
-
I'm sure it's been said, but I'm not reading through all the comments: Let.It.Go. He didn't treat you nicely and his behavior borders on abusive. Yes, being overweight is unhealthy in many ways. And even if you're in great health now, it can lead to poor health and joint problems and all of those things. If you want to eat…

It can make already heavy periods much heavier, but other than that, everyone I know who's had it loves it. I had Mirena, which has hormones, but the insertion and all that is similar. It was great! You don't have to think about it except when getting it checked.
-
I threaten the life of any man who looks at me. Obviously.
-
Please don't threaten to shoot your coworker for flirting with you poorly ... I agree with JohnnyPenso. Seems the most sane and reasonable thing to do. He isn't stalking you. He's trying to see if you're interested, though awkwardly.

Because I was supposed to read through six pages just to tell her the same thing I did? I read enough to know I wasn't first. I still would have given the same response. Naturopaths are not medical professionals. They're full of crap and basically make things up. That she even thought she had a parasite is ridiculous.
-
Stop going to quacks. People in developed countries very, very rarely get parasites.
