  • I never thought about making a veggie dip with it! Thanks! :)
  • I eat the Dannon Oikos brand and it has 120 calories, no fat, 9 grams of carbs, and 22 grams of protein in a cup. I don't eat quite a cup a day. I make egg salad sandwiches and instead of the mayo, I mix in the yogurt! It's a great alternative and much healthier!
  • Some may not agree BUT Leslie Sansone's 4 fast miles dvd is AWESOME! I have been doing her workout for almost 2 months now and my butt and thighs were the first to start shrinking! Her videos have a lot of kicks and knee lifts which obviously are good for your butt and thighs. When I do her dvds, I up the intensity a bit…
  • I LOVE cheese and dairy as well! I feel satisfied after eating an ounce of sharp cheddar block cheese! My favorite cheese lol! That is awesome that your A1c was that low!! And your readings sound great! :)
  • I guess I was comparing myself to my sister lol. She lost 4 pounds last week and she ate a little more carbs than I did! But I know.... we shouldn't compare.
  • My grandma had diabetes and she eat an apple a day. Her doctor told her that it was good and that she had the cleanest colon he had ever seen. I've honestly though about following a diabetic diet. I had gestational diabetes with my last 2 pregnancies and they told me to go no higher than like 125-140g of carbs a day. What…
  • Just decided, after reading all the comments, that I am going to alternate my lunches. One day I will have PB on wheat bread and then the next day I will have my chicken salads. I will still strive at keeping my carbs lower than 100g a day. I just realized, again... after reading the comments and all, I need to be…
  • I wasn't wanting to go crazy low carb lol. I want to still eat healthy food items. Apples are an awesome fruit, beans are packed with fiber, and yogurt is an extremely healthy probiotic. My net carbs range from 60-80g a day. I wasn't wanting to go KETO lol.
  • My clothes fit a little better! :) Maybe I was just too unrealistic with what I thought I was going to lose. I gave up soda and all. I was just hoping for 2-3 pounds. My sister is eating a little more carbs than me and she lost 4 pounds last week! I know I know you shouldn't compare! lol
  • Saturday was my cheat meal and sweet snack day, for all that are looking at my food diary! I went to Golden Corral for lunch lol. YES, I had a dinner roll and mashed potatoes. I just guessed at the calories.
  • Just opened my diary! I'll keep it open all day so you can see what I'm eating. I also make sure that I drink 8 glasses of water a day! Now I have decided to have 1 cheat day a week, actually it's a cheat meal with a sweet snack. IF I FEEL DEPRIVED, I WON'T STICK WITH THE DIET!
  • Thanks! I was thinking this as well.
  • My calorie range isn't bad. I think I'm in the 1200 range most days. AND I just started this low carb thing a week ago. Like I said, I may have unrealistic expectations. I was just under the impression that going under 100g carbs a day would make you lose atleast 3-5 pounds a week. I will not cut out the apple seeing as in…
  • Thanks! :) I was just about to say that I keep my carbs under 100g a day. I want low carb NOT KETO DIET lol. I know that anything under 100g carbs is concidered low carbs. I'm not interested in the whole keto thing.... way too much for me!!
  • Really? I know that there is a lot of different opinions but why call it "runny chocolate?"
  • I read something that said "fat doesn't make you fat, carbs do." Is that true?
  • Wow! I just logged my lunch, and although it is healthy and low carb, the fat and calories is a little high! Man it seems like you have to either do one or the other (low carb or low fat).......... OR only eat veggies!!!!!
  • That's what I was thinking too! I want to stay under 100g carbs a day and find meals and snacks that I can live with that doesn't make me feel deprived! I love dairy! So I like that I can still have milk, cheese, yogurt, etc. I do plan on having 1 cheat meal a week, probably a dinner.
  • I'm not sure about the keto thing. I guess I need to do some research but I do remember when I had gestational diabetes they said that it wasn't good for your body to do the keto thing.... hmmm idk. For breakfast this morning I had 3 scrambled eggs with a little bit of onion and green bell pepper added. I also love my…
  • I don't know why I was thinking protein too lol! :)
  • Wait a min! So you're telling me that, for example, even though my cottage cheese has 5g of carbs, I'm not really getting 5g of carbs because it also has 5g of protein?! :) I love the chocolate and oats fiber one bars. It says that there is 29g of carbs in one. But it also has 9g of fiber and 2g of protein. Now I know that…
  • What I was reading was written for health, not just weight loss. Although I seriously want to lose weight, I also want to eat things that are packed with healthy things! BUT I did look up things on bananas and found that it is one of the most high carb fruits!! I guess if I eat it, I will only eat half of one. I'm thinking…
  • I've been told that I could have some sugar issues. 2 out of my 3 pregnancies, I had gestational diabetes and diabetes also runs strong in my family. I am a big soda drinker and I know that that doesn't help. I have never tried low carb. I don't want to go extreme low carb, I love carbs and I know we need them, but I want…
  • Not sure about skipping breakfast!
  • Then what would be low carb cause I have read that bananas are excellent to eat in the morning and so is oatmeal. I just looked at my oatmeal and it says that it's about 27g of carbs with 4g of fiber and the 1% milk has 13g of carbs. Wow.... now that I look at it, the milk is what does it! Hmmmm.... I thought oatmeal was…
  • I was thinking that may be fruits and veggies would be unlimited! Here is what I was thinking: For breakfast I could have either an egg omlet with onions and green bell peppers and a banana or oatmeal with a banana. For lunch I would have either a chicken salad with feta cheese and low fat dressing or a turkey sandwich…
  • I think I may start walking more and riding my bike for awhile. BUT I still want to run atleast 1-2 days out of the week. My knees are still hurting and I haven't ran since Saturday! One person on here said that biking and running can go hand and hand so I think I may supplement that for awhile. Or atleast until my knees…
  • Should I also mention that I run on hard pavement. Maybe that makes a difference... idk.
