Hello, I'm Liz! I live in Winnie, Texas, with my husband, 7yo son, 4yo daughter, and 2yo son. I work part-time as a 911 dispatcher, but mainly SAHM now. I decided shortly after Thanksgiving 2012 to begin my weight loss and healthier living journey. I mainly practiced a healthier diet for Dec 2012 and began the new year…

Congrats on such an amazing transformation! You are beautiful to behold! :flowerforyou:

You are da bomb! I can't wait to try my hand at lifting!

I have wondered this myself, but more geared toward those that are "married" after dating for a couple weeks. I don't think I've ever called someone my "husband" when they weren't actually my husband, but I've also been married to more men than most (at different times of course)! :blushing: Different strokes for different…

You sparked my curiosity, so I decided to weight my protein powder. Thankfully, it was only off by 1g.

Texas here. About one hour east of Houston and definitely 'normal'. And, as has been stated a few times, even the pets. If someone started digging through my basket at the grocery store, they might get throat punched (okay, maybe I'd just think it). I can't imagine someone telling me what kind of 'snacks' I need to keep in…

I did L2 last week and whew. Crow? :noway: Uhhh... yeah, gonna need some practice on THAT one!

This is so wonderful! I had a similar experience last weekend with my sister. We met up at a restaurant and I was talking to her on the phone while she was already inside and I was standing in line waiting. She was looking at me and didn't even recognize me.

I prefer something like this. I don't recall the brand I'm using now, but I'm sure I picked up at Walmart. I like the kind with the open heel, and they slip on like a sock. My ankles are weak as well, so I use them when I do anything with impact.

I absolutely  this NSV! I feel the same way! My kids have tried so many new foods because they see me eating it. My kids are also all about the snacks, but I've started keeping more healthy options in the house. They will eat almonds, cheese sticks, yogurt, raisins, granola bars, etc. They all want to "workout" with…

I am tend to be an open book kind of person, so it wouldn't bother me. I don't care much who gossips about me, if that ends up being the motive. I probably volunteer the amount I've lost before it can be asked, as soon as someone acknowledges that I've lost! I've also never really been bothered by men asking me my…

*bump* Gonna check this thread out later.

Oh yes! Dill chips on it for sure! My mom showed me this one.

I've had some pretty bad bouts of gas myself and wondered the same thing. My poor husband tries desperately to keep the covers pressed down when it happens in bed. I really do feel bad for him... sort of. Oh and it's really not cool when I'm doing yoga. :noway:

^^^ This. I turned the alert sound off because it got annoying.

Wow, great results! I'm on week 2. Can you say plank? Ugh.

*bump*

This will be week two for me of YM L1. I do not have any prior yoga experience per se. I did 30-Day Shred for the month of January and for February I am doing RI30 in the mornings and YM in the evenings. Hopefully there are some people still following this group!

I have 50 lbs to lose as well. I am down 19 lbs, so 30-35 lbs more to go! It seems like such a feat to accomplish, as I've never really tried to lose weight, except for one other time and I stopped at 20 lbs. I'm not going to be satisfied with that this time! My "babies" are almost 8 years old, almost 5 years old, and two…

Great job, ladies! Hoping I can post my before/afters fall 2013! SW: 198 CW: 179 GW: 150?

Love it! I will forever call them 'modified' and remove the negative connotation of 'girly'.

OP, thanks for this!

Great job, fellas! Your courage and confidence is inspiring! :flowerforyou:

Here's a link to some stretches for the shin that I have used: http://www.self.com/blogs/flash/2011/05/4-shin-splint-solutions-and-st.html I mainly use this calf stretch now: http://www.exrx.net/Stretches/Gastrocnemius/FloorBoard.html

Unfortunately, I don't have any better suggestions. Since I've gotten my HRM, I just use it for my calories. I will add that I am doing both Ripped in 30 W1 and Yoga Meltdown L1 (one in a.m. and one in p.m.) and my YM calorie burn is only about 100 calories less than RI30, so it definitely burns some calories! The programs…

I had the same problem, and while I can't recommend what you should do in your case, I can tell you what I did. I added extra stretches at the end of the cool down that helped with that and my calves. I stopped in the past because of it, but this last time I pushed through and it got better. By the end, I only had slight…

In the past, I was asked twice in a week when I was due... I told them it was just leftovers. Ugh. Hoping with exercise and my umbilical hernia repair that I can avoid that question in the future...

I add extra stretches for my calves after the standing quadricep stretches at the end. It helps!
