I must have a good immune system. I'll wipe the seat if there's pee (probably left by hover pee-ers), sit, flush with hand, touch the handle, wash my hands, turn off the faucet, dry hands. The only thing "special" I do is open the door with the paper towel, then hold it with my foot as I toss the towel. If the garbage can…

I only have two tattoos, and for now I''m satisfied with just that. I have kanjii on the back of my neck that means "strength" and a bow and arrow with the Sagittarius constellation on it on my inner left ankle. Both were years in the consideration of what and where. The "strength" one I got after I graduated high school.…

I can't speak for random hungry days, as I can always attribute the reason to something. There's only two reasons I'll have ravenous days, the first being a hard workout day. The second (which always irritates me because it's sneaky) is TOM. For a period of about 48 hours, 3 days before the gross part starts, I will want…

I think the stare-down was enough, since he obviously realized he did something wrong and apologized. Even better if he watched you do your thing afterward and saw that it was only your warm-up.

I get equally peeved at that same thing! Seriously, go away. I think it's something deep in our brains (instinct) that causes people to want to "be near" other people. Next time you go to any type of mega-mart, look at the people who park on the outskirts. It's not just the employees; it's customers who park near other…

I've always been a little chubby, but ever since I can remember, I've always fit into 12/14 pants. My weight has very slowly been creeping up, and I hit 188 (3 lbs. over my highest previous weight) about the same time I needed a new pair of jeans. I couldn't fit into the same brand/type of jeans I've bought for the past 5…

The lack of energy can be an effect of the types of food you're eating. Fast food always makes me want to just sit and laze about! :) I totally understand about the catch-22. This is my brain: "I'm so tired, I don't wanna go work out! But if I go, I'll feel better and more energized, but I'm tired now! Ugh!" I can usually…

I just noticed that your diary is open to view. It looks like you've been here less than a week, so you may not see any change at all yet! You are also eating a lot of high-sodium foods. Too much salt can cause you to retain water. I know that for 2-3 days after I eat Chinese, I will retain about 1.5 pounds of just water…

No, you don't HAVE to eat just fruits and veggies in order to lose weight (but it helps!). We need more info to help find out why you're having trouble. One question that first comes to mind is are you're NETTING 1200-1300 or are you EATING 1200-1300? If you exercising, but only eating 1200 a day, you are not eating enough…

Another thing that people forget that can make you gain water weight is intense strength training. Muscles hold onto water in order to repair themselves. I did a session of 30DS last Friday evening, then went out to a Chinese buffet Saturday evening. It made my muscles really sore for several days because I'm not used to…

If you're eating 1600 calories, then burning off 400-500, you're only netting 1100-1200 calories. That is simply not enough to fuel your body, so your body is trying to hang on to every bit it can keep. Couple this with the fact that you've switched your lifestyle so abruptly and it's not surprising nothing has happened. I…

There is an option for Strength Training under the Cardio list for exercise. I don't know how accurate it is however. Based on what many other people have said about the calories burned, MFP is a little hit or miss on some of them. If your machine gives you an amount burned, especially if you were able to input your…

I started off at 1200 and lost a few pounds slowly, so I bumped it up to 1400. I'm losing quicker now (average 2 lbs a week) on 1400 and the same amount of exercise than I was on 1200. This past week I've been purposely fluctuating between 1200 and 1400 each day just to mix it up a little and it seems to be going well.

We just moved to our neighborhood and the poll of the neighbors of how many trick-or-treaters we would get ranged from "none" to "tons!" so we bought a medium sized bag of stuff we would both eat and a large bag of stuff that we'd only like some of it. We opened the medium bag first (so far it looks like it's going to be…

The less amount of fat your body has to lose, the harder it is to lose it. For a person your height, 1200 is way too low. You should be netting much closer to your BMR. Your calorie goal is so low that your body may be trying to slow your metabolism, making it even harder to lose anything. I would recommend bumping up your…

I'm curious about the day that you eat 1200 "extra" calories and then pay for it the next week. You said you eat 1200 calories a day, yet you exercise also. Are you eating back those calories that you burn? You need to have a NET or 1200 per day, which is what you eat minus your exercise calories. If you're not netting…

Your daily net calories should always be 1200 or more. If you're exercising, you need to eat back your extra calories so you don't get below 1200.

No, they are replying so it's listed in "My Topics". Means they're interested in reading the rest of the thread, and don't want to have to go searching for it later, yet don't have anything to say in response. Also it kind of stands for Bring Up My Post (to bump it to the top of the list).

You should never eat less than 1200 calories a day and if you exercise that day, you should be eating much more than that! Eating less than what your body needs to fuel itself will cause your metabolism to try to adjust, meaning it slows down, making it even harder for you to lose weight. If you do this for a long enough…

I'm 5' 3" and started at 188 lbs. My intial goal weight is 140 lb, simply because that's the lowest I ever remember being. Obviously I've been less, but that weight was sometime in middle school/early high school, and before that, I never really thought about how much I weighed. I plan to reevaluate once I get there and…

I've used a Mooncup for about 6 years, and I will NEVER go back to tampons. The main reasons I starting using it was because I hated the waste and the idea of all that crap going to a landfill, and how tampons (no matter the brand) leave microscopic fibers up there that can potentially cause damage. My favourite things: No…
