  • Sorry I didn't get to post yesterday. Very long 12 hour work shift. But a great weigh-in day with a 3.6 pound loss for the week.
  • I am a Sunday only weigh-in. Good luck to everyone for a lucky Jan. 13.
  • My fellow male, take the chewing and support her. And she's right..it's not fair. But it's true that guys lose easier. You my friend must be the support. Do not look to her to praise you near as much as you must back her. And what I mean is to be honest with your praise to her. Let her know that you are aware that things…
  • Lots of water and you have to stay strict. On track with food and plenty of exercise that you are able to do. Congrats on your upcoming marriage. You can do this!!!!!
  • Deep breaths. In through your nose. Out through your mouth. Good, now join the crowd. We all have those days. They do get some easier, but I don't know that they go away. I used to freak out at just the smell of pizza. You can do this. Good luck on your weigh in.
  • Do this for me because I deserve it.
  • First, I admit to not using mine nearly as much as I should. But, I have not had the same issues with mine. Hope that the support team can find an answer.
  • I can always use the support and am more than willing to give support to those who need it.
  • I am a very firm believer in once a week. The weight does fluctuate through the week and you'll find yourself going nuts and quitting.
  • You can't undo what's done. Plan your day. Research calories before eating. That way you are not surprised afterwards. Being able to control calories take research and work, but well worth it.
  • My first challenge was portion control. Smaller plates, actually measuring a cup, and literally telling myself to eat slower and only 1 plate. No refills. Drink more water. Recently I have had to overcome falling off the wagon and regaining. This was personal. I had to remind myself why I started this journey and I have to…
  • Prayers for you and your family. This is not easy. The coming days and months will still have stress as the family deals with this. But, we must still take care of ourselves. Use the workout time for yourself to process all that is happening. Use it to release the hurt for what is happening. But, take time to enjoy family…
  • Beachbody products are wonderful. I use Power 90. I also have Jillian Michaels DVD's and others. But I lace up my shoes most days and just hit the park and walk/jog which doesn't take any investment, but my time. There are lots of ways to spend money to lose weight. All of which will help. You just need to find what fits…
  • Well said!!
  • To say that it's a lifestyle sound cliche, but it's the truth. You have to envision your goals. You have to grit your teeth and just change everything you do. Look at what triggers binges. Also, know that steak is not unhealthy. Eating an entire porter house with mashed potatoes, and dessert when you could have eaten a…
  • While we are here for completely different reasons, our goal is the same. We both want to be healthier. You have to be able to envision what healthier means to you. That way you can work toward a goal. To just say I want to feel better can be discouraging because even healthy people feel bad someday. When you find your…
  • Pressing play on Power 90, then heading to the gym for treadmill and cardio.
  • I'm Steve. Just turned 46 at the end of December. The cool part now as I get older is that I am losing weight and feel better than I did in the younger years. So saying that I love my 40's would be an understatement. Love the idea of this support group and look forward to helping each other succeed.
  • My name is Steve. I was always athletic until after I got married and started a family. I also went to work for a food company and did nothing but go from restaurant to restaurant showing and cooking food. Great job, but horrible effect on the body. Life changed. I became a nurse and discovered that I wasn't healthy. OK, I…
  • I agree so much in only weighing once a week. Look at this as long term. You did not get here in one day and you won't get back in one day. Results WILL happen, you just have to believe in yourself. We believe in you. You can do this!!!
  • Agree that you need app if you have smart phone. Tracking is key to success and that means everything.
  • Great job!!! Wonderful NSV.
  • Sometimes when you are focused on your goals then everything else is secondary. When friends/family are not a part of that goal they feel that you have focused away from them when that is not an intent.
  • I agree with above, but for the long run I think you have to find a reason for you to want this other than just pleasing him. Good luck on your goals.
  • Started at 391. So just a little over 200.
  • Figure out your "why". Why do YOU want to lose. When you find a reason that you can envision, it will drive you little by little to your goal. You can do this!!!!!!
  • Love the positive attitude. And you are right, many wonderful people turning their lives around.
  • The sugars will most assuredly drive you to desire more food. Find an alternative to the sweets. Natural sugars through fruit. Even sugar free jellies are a better alternative.
  • I am a very open person. I need the accountabilty factor. Did not walk up to everyone and let them know I was trying to lose, but had my inner circle.
  • Open to support if you need it. You can do this!!!
