  • I have bad PF. I got arch supports for my shoes, make sure to stretch my whole leg and back (all thats connected), and wear compression socks at night while I sleep. That all seems to help. Im counting on weight loss to help with the rest. Otherwise, I dont modify my workouts for it. Just take a little extra time to warm…
  • I try not to think about anything while I'm working out. I focus better and workout harder when I just completely clear my head and focus on the task at hand.
  • @adowe 9 for the whole adorable family
  • Eat tons of veggies. Load yr plate up with them. Eat more often, I eat ever two to three hours, usually something small or low cal like an apple or some low fat string cheese, or any other fruit or vegetable I can get my hands on. Most everyone else's suggestions are good. Stop eating out too. That food has little to no…
  • I eat an entire bag of tortilla chips and an entire jar of salsa in one sitting, frequently.
  • Pretty much everything in insanity includes something you can't do, lots of lunges, squats, jumping, getting on the floor and all of the combined sometimes.
  • I just started insanity myself and burn close to a 1000+ cals every workout ( i do two videos the one i'm on and the one my friend is on) and struggle to eat back all my calories. I just eat what I can. I had to start eating before I workout and including at least one high calorie protein drink after my workout or I feel…
  • i've never heard of those, but ALWAYS follow your doctors advice when it comes to something like this. Ask, they'll know. You'll get to the point where you can work out more it takes time. Just stick with it and build yourself up slowely.
  • you have to build muscle, simple as that, you can keep loosing weight but until you build muscle and reduce body fat you'll always be skinny fat. you can do things at home to build muscle. I use my friends toddlers and babies as weights sometimes, 20 to 30 pounds right there and they love when I bench press them. Find…
  • too much sugar!!! do what that early poster said and go for some real food sources for protien like hard boiled eggs, cheese, yogurt(plain for no sugar, add your own fruit), cottage cheese, chicken, jerky, nuts, etc.
  • I always think of it like this: carbs are your number one energy source, followed by fats and lastly protien. You need a lot carbs if your training really hard, I tend to eat high carbs but I train pretty hard. Carbs aren't bad if you eat the right kind, complex carbs from vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Keep you…
  • i've been working out pretty hard on my own for about a year, running, trail running, swimming, biking, various strength training exercises, zumba, etc. I started insanity this week and it's kicking my tail, I haven't felt this out of shape since I first started working out. It's crazy. That being said my good friend had…
  • yogurt or cottage cheese with some udi's gluten free granola and whatever fruit I have on hand
  • tortillas refried beans salsa
  • 1 minute planks (side planks too!)
  • Look up the gluten free goddess, she does gluten free but she is also a vegan so her recepies don't have meat, are well balanced, and super yummy. I eat meat occasionally but only a few times a week if that. My favorite protien sources are beans, nuts, quinoa, yogurt, milk, etc. There are so many options out there. Make…
  • I had half a cup of granola and lactose free milk and an orange. Super yummy and full of nutrients.
  • I'm pretty tall 5'10"ish and don't really carry my weight in one particular area, my whole family is tall and athletic (body builders, swimmers, roller derby girls, what not) so a lot of how I look and how I carry my weight has to do with that. It's nice though cause I don't stress about one particular area but at the same…
  • I use mcorminck's no salt seasoning line and mix my own blend of southwest seasoning and fiesta citrus seasoning. I don't know the proprotions cause it changes every time.
  • Thank you everyone for your encouraging words and kindness it's a big boost and helps me keep going!
  • If the bulk of it is loose skin you can't really work that off. There are some things out there to help tighten up loose skin though I don't know of any off the top of my head, I'm sure you can find something. I think I heard somewhere that coffee ground - olive oil in a heated wrap helps. As for the rest of the weight…
  • That's an interesting question, I guess probably that you should get down on yourself, even when it's hard. Keep positive and if you have a bad day (I've had tons) just start again the next day. Actually if I find myself in the middle of a bad day, say I had a little too much sugar at breakfast and I've eaten most of my…
  • I live right on 155 in the Montevallo part of Chilton Co. How awesome is that!
  • Thanks! Can you see the picture? For some reason it's not working right. They should fix that and make it easy.
  • I chew sugar free gum but I don't even do that often. I find that if I plan in treats like a peice of dark chocolate after dinner or a fiber one brownie or some jello, I'm not as tempted because I know coming up after dinner or for my afternoon snack I'm getting something yummy.
  • Loaded "Refried Beans" (sweet potato and black bean mash with a garlic-chive greek yogurt and onion-avacado-cilantro-lemon dressing) It's super yummy, full of flavor and nutrition and incredibly filling for very few calories. I adapted it from a few different recepies gone wrong but fell in love with it.
  • Their salad isn't bad, just make sure you get grilled chicken, fat free dressing and leave off the other fatty and crap stuff.
  • ghirhardelli's twilight delight dark chocolate, the come in 45 calorie pre-packaged squares for portion control and it's sooo yummy, i try to always keep some on hand
  • I drank some when I was a teenager but I don't anymore, we studied the chemical makeup of alcohol in chem in college and it set me off it for life, essentially alcohol is poison and being drunk is a symptom of being poisoned, don't get me wrong if you want to drink that's up to you but that's part of my reasoning for not…
