As a former smoker, that's a myth. What causes us to gain weight when we smoke is we substitute it for food. The first week was probably water weight. If you started a new workout, you can actually gain temporarily as your muscles swell. Another thing? Too few calories.

Invest in calipers. I have a Tanita and a higher end. From day to day it can fluctuate by a few %. Obviously not accurate then.

That's great! I was going to ask if your strap is small enough for you. I called Polar and they sent me the xs/s one for free since medium is a standard. While I still have that problem sometimes (even wetting the sensors) I now actually wear it around my natural waist. LOVE IT BETTER! Note that I have tested it against my…

Well done, congrats, and thank you for sharing this with others. It's important for others to know it's ok to eat.

Hate to tell you that it's more of a female thing. I was that way very young and still am at 45. Too many carbs seem to do it to me.

I couldn't agree more that you need to eat more. Though up your calories slowly, say 100 more per day for a week, to let your body get used to it. Then up it again another 100 or so until you get to where you should be eating.

HAHAHAHA

Not to bash you too but if it were so easy don't you think the entire world would be thin? Sadly, you must pay your dues like the rest of us. This is NOT a diet but a lifestyle change. Eat healthy food, portion control and move your body. I wish you luck.

OMG you crack me up! Thanks again! P.S. My divorce gave me my happiness back!

As long as it's throughout the day. Upping your water isn't the cause of weight gain or a plateau.

Sweetie he might be able to get any girl but with that attitude of his no self respecting female would keep him. (exception being you of course since you're married to him) He should love you regardless of how big or how little you are. He should have married you for the woman you are not for the size of your clothes. Hold…

I'm 32 DD and swear by Under Armour. Not sure the style it's called but the one that is 60.00.

I am 5'7" and this pic I'm 125 pounds. You can see others on my profile. But know that our frames have lots to do with our weight as well. I am small framed. You are doing great! Take it one day at a time. It will come!

Exactly what Brittany said.

What worked for me when I started was changing how I thought. I took it one day at a time, one meal at a time and one workout at a time. If you are normally active doing something (as I am) then that alone isn't enough. Your body is already used to that. Go for a long walk or find a dvd you love to do. The first few months…

All I can say is WOW! Now you ARE impressive! Fantastic job!

I'd jump on the surgery thought as well but you are still very young and your skin might be forgiving. At least somewhat. Factors though are how long were you overweight, age, etc.. Try strength training and give it another year and see what happens. It didn't stretch overnight and won't go back overnight either.

5'7" average 125 and wear a size 3

You need to forgive yourself and move on. Its not the end of the world. Will it slow your progress? Of course. But this is a lifestyle change not a diet. Things happen and today is a new day. Remember one clean meal will not make you skinny so one bad meal won't make you fat. It's what you do consistantly that counts.

9 1/2 and I consider mine dinky.

Divorce papers. lol j./k

HOLY COW! You look like a totally different person! Fantastic!!!!

The macros which work best for me are 40 Protein, 30 carbs and 30 fat. For women, we need fat, healthy fat though. Some of your sources are not the best. Almonds, Omega supplements etc. are a clean source of fat which you should focus on adding to your diet.
-
Could be sodium (chinese has a ton!). Those last 5 to 10 pounds are a bear. Up your calories and protein (up this a lot) and decrease your carbs to around 100 per day. Also make certain you eat enough healthy fat. This should get you to where you want to be. Good luck and don't sweat the scale. It will move.

Nicely done! You should be proud of yourself!
