Don't ever feel ashamed for wanting to take care of yourself! Never! Make small goals for yourself that you can achieve over the next few months and set yourself a long term goal. So like, "I will run without stop for 5 min, then 10, and so on." Or like, "I will start with doing 3 pushups, then 5." These may seem like…

This may be a silly means of motivation and some people may not agree with it but it was actually in part a Cracked article that helped me get kind of in the right mindset for working out and changing how I looked at exercise and diet.…

Hi je0689! Welcome! I understand a bit of what you're feeling. You're not completely comfortable in your skin at the moment but the motivation to workout is lacking. I think I felt a little self-conscious being that person at the gym that was gasping like a fish out of water. I think it's important to set goals for…

Wonderful! Congratulations! :D

He could just be being facetious with the thread name. People have different ways of dealing with stress whether it's positive or not. Studying just happened to be more of a priority at the time than fitness. He's here now and hopefully ready to take charge of his fitness goals. Anyways, welcome, OP!

I've lost about 25 pounds and I'd been a little plump since high school until I shed the extra weight. I didn't notice any significant size loss in my boobs. They might have reduced in size a pinch but that was all.

I understood what they were trying to say about their shoes. I also think that the idea could have worked but the picture that was used was really just tragic-looking. I think if the dog was in a more goofy, "cartoony" pose of exhaustion, it could have worked better. But the dog looks like it was shot, not collapsed…

I YOLOed yesterday because it was my birthday! It was a glorious day of food YOLO. I only feel a smidge of regret. I started off with a brownie for breakfast, teppanyaki for lunch, and beef cheek with mashed sweet potatoes and a French wine for dinner finishing it all off with an ice cream sundae. YOLO.

Hot damn, you're smokin', dude! Nice work!
-
Wow, you look wonderful! Great work, sir!
-
Woohoo! I know just how you feel. It's so exhilarating seeing progress like that. Keep it up!
-
Great work! That's amazing!
-
Hot! Congratulations! Your dedication paid off wonderfully.

Bahahaha! Wouldn't that be awesome if that were the truth? I could party so much more. What can I say? It's more fun when you're drunk but there are consequences.

I do get a little self-conscious when I go to the gym with hairy legs (and by hairy, I mean that I haven't shaved in over a week). But I'm lazy and it's a pain in the butt to shave several times a week. It really is more of a beauty aesthetic than a hard rule that women MUST have hairless legs. At any rate, please don't…

Yeah, I think seeing your journey as something temporary or labeling it a diet is not a good mindset. It's a long term commitment you need to be willing to participate in. It's either you want lasting results or you don't. I think you have to want a healthier body just like you need to breath air. You won't make excuses,…

Cycling, particularly group cycling is very popular in my neighborhood because the roads are scenic. My biggest frustration just as a driver is when they spill out entirely into a vehicle lane and take it over. I'm not talking about a few inches, I mean the entire vehicle lane. I tolerate this more on the weekend because…

Hrm, I should check this out myself. I'm seeing many people at around 130 lbs wearing really small jean sizes. I'm at 130 lbs myself at the moment but I'm still wearing my size 10 jeans! Granted, they're somewhat loose but I can still wear them without them falling off my waist. *investigates*

Wow! That's crazy! You look so wonderful and I'm sure you feel wonderful too. Congratulations on all your hard work. You really look beautiful. =)

"Your body will get really mad at you when you try to lose weight." From http://www.cracked.com/article_18611_the-10-most-important-things-they-didnt-teach-you-in-school_p2.html Health: Why Losing Weight Requires Some Amount of Suffering I think it helped drive the point home that there are no comfy shortcuts. Your body…

I think it depends on the person. For me, it's been the way of gauging my status each morning. It often works as a reminder to not overdo it that day or to even motivate me to continue the good work! But I can see how it could drive someone else crazy when they aren't seeing the results they want. But I just liked having…

Mexican Coca Cola, man! Not everyday but as a nice treat on occasion. It's made with real sugar. =) It's starting to pick up in popularity in my area.

It seems like many ladies complain about their boobs being too small. My issue is that I felt mine were too big! I've definitely lost a bit in the chest area and I couldn't be happier. I was like a 38DD and it was a nuisance. It was hard finding a bra strong enough to keep them from looking saggy since they were so damn…

My mom gently nagged me about my weight. Not horribly though. Her angle was always: "You don't want to end up like me" because she's about 20 -30 lbs overweight herself. I'm always the type to dig in my heels when I'm given advice from my mom. It came down to me wanting to change. My mom could have nagged me all she wanted…

Such an awesome feeling, right? ^_^ Good work!

Just tell yourselves that you're all classier than McDonald's or Taco Bell. Your bodies deserve better than the pre-digested garbage that those places hand you through the window. Except for In-N-Out...

Same here! I've hit my first plateau too. I'm not sure what's causing it. Maybe I'm not logging my calories correctly. I've kinda fallen into this habit of eating 100 - 200 over my daily on occasion the last few weeks. =/

Amagad! Stunning! I'm so happy for you! You earned that lovely figure, girl! =)

Those girl scouts are predatory! Pouncing on me when I least expect it.
