  • I sold all my clothing except for my biggest pair of jeans. I still have them in my closet and try them on from time to time to remind myself how I used to be and how i never want to be there again.

  • getting to eat so much food at maintenance ahahaha but in all seriousness just being able to say I did it without being crazy or crash dieting. And ideally to finish my half marathon at goal would be great.
  • its the truth... we do EVERYTHING better ahah
  • i think its totally a personal preference thing. I know a lot of people like thongs- i personally HATE them when running- in fact almost ripped it off during a long run recently because it was so uncomfortable. I like just plain jane full bum snug fitting undies. Nothing fancy. But i do agree with the boy shorts- they…
  • possibly bursitis or an IT band issue? I had a problem with IT band and found foam rollers did help and also the exercises suggested by the person above. I also found a great deal of help by visiting with a physio and chiropractor if thats an option for you.
  • have you considered having your stride analyzed? I cant tell you the number of people i see running at the gym who are completely gassed after 10-15 mins on th treadmill because they are wasting so much energy with unncessary movements. ie: WAY too bouncy, leaning too far forward etc- all these little thigns add up to your…
  • i have the tata tamer as well and i love it.. super supportive but i think it only goes up to a 38D the shock absorber is excellent. it doesnt look like it would do much ( the cups are soft and unlined) so i was hesitant to buy it at first but its sooo good! it was about 55$ and worth every penny. its more comfortable than…
  • invested in a few good bras: tata tamer from lulu as well as the shock absorber.. both around 60$ each as for pants i like running tights. I generally wear lulu lemons run inspire II crop ( they only go up to a size 12) butwhen i was larger I wore spandexy athletic pants from walmart/ target/ where ever. i personally like…
  • hahaha i love this!! i wouldnt say my butt was a big square- it certainly looked flatter and not very attractive ahaha and now i do have a much nicer rounder behind. squats and lunges are youre new best friend disguised as your worst enemy!! learn to love them lol
  • they can get expensive. I get that there is a cost assocaited with having a race but I think most of them are just a money maker. I did the colour run last year- i think it was like 45 or 50 a person. we did get some " swag" and some money went to a cause. I say if you really want to run it then just do it- the cost is…
  • hey girl its a common issue i started at 289 in a size 24- wore the same size for quite a while.. id say after i lost about 30 pounds i started buying smaller clothing but i also ran into the same problems as you. Id like to say it gets better, but i still have that problem. Im wearing a size 14 now, often times it fits…
  • thanks girl! routine varied quite a bit as my body was capable of doing more things. As it stands I do zumba 2-3 days a week ( its super fun, i go more for the atmosphere than anything ahah), Ive been trying to do weight training 3-4 days a week ( none of these sissy little girly weights- I say lift big or dont bother),…
  • i started this program at my heaviest at 289 about 7 months ago. I made it through about 80% of the program and I had to stop because I had some hip joint pain- which i later found out was a result of being too overweight and running ( this obviously wont be the case for everyone- unfortunatley for me it was painful enough…
  • you are looking great! and i can see the happiness on your face! best of luck with the rest of your journey, i have no doubt you can do this! :D
  • graduated today! I intially started the program about 7 months ago at my heaviest weight- around 290lbs and had to stop because of injuries. I started it again almost 80 pounds lighter with some reservations but was so excited to find that I could run for so much longer with no pain! I never thought Id be able to run for…
