I always thought I'd marry someone that made me look little and cute, but my husband is four inches shorter than me. It doesn't matter if a guy is "the right height and totally buff". If he's a jerk he's not worth living with.

Just find something comfortable. Heels equal emergency room trip for me. Not because of weak ankles, but because my tendons are so strong the bones break first. One night in painful heels is not worth two months (or more) in a walking boot not being able to work out.

Don't let anyone knock you for smelling your food. Smell is a huge part of taste so you're enjoying what you're eating. I will always smell my food first after watching my best friend pop open a carton of milk she just bought and get a mouthful of curdled milk. Safety first people! :)

I've always had a group to belong to which gave me a sense of self. You know Wall flower, 4-H kid, Natural birth, breastfeeding, and then home school mommy. This year my kids went to school and I couldn't figure out why I felt so lost. I have no group to belong to. So, thanks to MFP I am putting myself in the Mid-life…

If you ever want to see how baby/ puppy proof your house really is borrow a toddler for a couple hours. My kiddos aren't little anymore and it was shocking how dangerous my house had become when my cousin brought her little ones over.

I like the Body for Life approach because it's something you can do long-term and have a life outside the gym. It explains the intensity levels that the others are talking about too. The big perk is you can probably check it out for free at the library.

Look up lots of floor exercises and any yoga you feel comfortable with. A lot of exercises have a modified form. Make sure you do all of your physical therapy. By the time I finished after having all of my plates and screws out my broken leg was stronger than my unbroken one. :)

Maybe take up trail biking. My hubby had tree trunks for legs when he was biking. Of course it's harder for him to gain weight in his upper body. Try out some body building forums???

You can check out dvds from the library and try several different ones for free before you decide which one you want.

Usually when you get your cycle your body becomes deficient in stuff like calcium and magnesium. That's why you get the cravings. The post by shinelikevega is the best advice I've heard. I'll get a chocolate bar and split it with my kids so I'm getting a little, but not too much.

Whatever you do don't listen to them. I was raised in an overweight family and at one point I started working on getting healthy. I was at an ideal weight for my height and everyone said I was too thin. I started gaining weight again and have regretted it ever since. I'll never make that mistake agian!

I always thought I'd marry someone taller than me, but that's not how it worked out. I'm 5'8" and my husband is 5'4". We've been married for almost 15 years. It doesn't matter how cute or tall the guy is if you can't live with him.

My friend is a marathon runner and swears by "bear foot running". You should check it out. It's supposed to be a lot easier on your joints.

My best friend has had six children and looks better than she did in high school. She works out regularly and watches what she eats.

Take care of yourself now so you can kick butt later. Don't knock yoga till you try it. My husband made up a yoga routine and it was a lot harder than it looked. :)

The girl scouts are setting up camp outside my door.

Just don't make yourself sore before you go and get lost of sleep.

I'm going through that right now. I was on track with my weight loss and had worked up to exercising over an hour a day just to find out that I needed surgery. I was in enough pain the two weeks before I had to stop exercising and now even two weeks later I'm still not able to walk more than about 20 minutes let alone…

This is the point where my naturapathic friend would jump in and say you need to go to the health food store and get some wild yam butter. It's a plant based progesterone supplement. The ones that are animal based makes your body think you're making enough and you become dependent on them.

I love keeping my neighbors weirded out and I was running out of ideas. Thanks!

I would definately concentrate on diet more than exercise. When I broke my leg I lost weight eating a lot of fresh fruits and veggies. Otherwise you could do just about any upper body moves and core work. Make sure you still keep your form correct so you don't add any back problems to the mix. Heal quick and take your…

Yes! That's the only way I'm going to stay on track.

You'll probably going to spend a lot of your first visit asking questions. You can ask her everything you're wanting to know and she will be asking you about what you're wanting to accomplish so she can help you get there. A personal trainer is just another tool to help you. If you're uncomfortable with what she's having…

Yeah! I can't wait to get out my smaller clothes!

Everyone says they lose a ton of inches using the 30 day Shred.

It sounds like you have a lot on your plate already. I would start very small and slowly work your way healthy. Think of one thing you want to improve on and try to make that your first goal. Maybe just try eating something healthy or limiting something that isn't. When you start getting the hang of eating healthier then…

You can look up allrecipes.com and type in what you're looking for. It's never let me down.:flowerforyou:

MFP calculates your calorie deficit for you so you are supposed to be eating most of your exercise calories. According to the La Leche League Breastfeeding answer book you need at least 1800 calories to lose weight while breastfeeding. I know you want to lose weight as fast as possible, but you need to go slow. One pound a…

I'm in. I'm 5'8" and 179 pounds. I'd like to be 170 by Christmas.

1) Eat more protein 2) Stay on schedule (even with Hubby on vacation) 3) Get at least 6 walks in this week.
