  • 16 pages is a lot to get through so this may have already been posted, but if you had continued to the bottom of the page, you would have seen this link http://www.cracked.com/article_19066_7-psychotic-pieces-relationship-advice-from-cosmo.html If my boyfriend wanted to have sex with me more often, started taking care of…
  • It sounds like back to school bullying. The person is obviously very insecure and has to put other people down to make themselves feel better, maybe they also have body issues (their reason for being at the gym in the first place) and are jealous of you because yu can deal with your issues and they can't. Just remember,…

  • I found this site for some great exercises, they're animated too so you can see how to do them. http://www.sport-fitness-advisor.com/dumbbellexercises.html When I do my dumbell exercises, I do 3 sets of 10-15 reps with a 30-45 second rest inbetween each set. If 10 are easy, do 11 and so on. The third set will probably be…
  • Sometimes only women can tell you what ~some~ men can't. From ~my~ experience of past boyfriends, the size of that area (sorry blokes, not the meat part) seems to match with the weight of the bloke.
  • I usually check what's missing and then take a vitamin for that, usually iron or calcium. I find it easier to see what I need on the phone app as everything is there in one place instead of going into each category individually.
  • Bob on Biggest Loser told a contestant that they should eat protein after a workout to help rebuild the muscles.
  • After weighing myself yesterday morning, eating pizza last night and then weighing myself this morning (just to see what a difference it makes) and seeing a 2lb gain, my cheat day will now be changed to something healthier. I'd rather look forward to a weight loss than a pizza.
  • How much time do you have to cook? I can manage to cook a chicken breast or fish fillet and boil some veggies in half an hour. Or like other posters have suggested, cook meals like stew in advance and freeze them. I make a quorn mince shepherd's pie with a cauliflower/sweet potato topping and it lasts me for 4 meals with…
  • I have a cheat/treat once a month. When I get paid, I let myself order a pizza. It gives me something to look forward to.
  • My knees crunch, usually when I do squats or lunges. I haven't been to the gym regularly for 6 months (just geting back into it) but the last time I was going regularly, I found using the leg press machine helped to strengthen my knees. I'm now back to the gym, back to crunchy knees and also back to the leg press and my…
  • I wear 2 - regular with sports bra over the top (am 34H) and am locked in. And I always do the jump up and down test in the changing room - don't care what the assistant thinks of me, it's my comfort I'm doing it for.
  • I go to the gym 3 times a week and I'm usually there for almost 2 hours: I start with 10 minutes on the elliptical Then move to the mat for various weights/exercises for the arms, sit ups and stretches. Treadmill to see what I can do on there (hoping to work up to 10 minutes running) Lat pull down (machine) Calf press…
  • I wear my standard bra with a sports bra over the top. I replace like I would a normal bra, when the band is too loose, although my last one I had to replace because the hooks bent and stabbed my finger. Am a 34H (UK, which I think is also US equivalent according to the internet).
  • My main bugs are: People who walk across my workout mat for a shortcut - it's really off putting. When I'm doing lifts, I focus on a point across the room and then somebody usually thinks I'm staring at them and walks into my eye line. People who hog all the dumbells and surround themselves with all the equipment they'll…
  • I always try to imagine them walking up a hill outside looking like a zombie.
  • I sometimes get like that. I've started asking myself if I want the food or if I need the food. I then give myself about half an hour (if I'm watching a programme, I'll wait until it's finished) and then ask myself again if I actually want any food. I find that the craving has usually gone by that time and it was just out…
  • Was he like this before you agreed to do the cleaning? If he was like that, then no amount of you cleaning is going to change him. Did he grow up in a messy house? Messy breeds messy. If he wasn't then he's taking advantage of your good nature - just because you've agreed to do the cleaning doesn't give him an excuse to…
  • I also do this. I do get some looks at the gym when adjusting the volume of my music
  • No, I'm saying that some people would rather just eat convenience, ready prepared meals that they just heat up in the oven than cook a meal from scratch. Even making a burger from scratch, you have more of an idea what it contains. A pre-prepared burger contains lots of additives and (if you've been reading the news…
  • How about this one in the UK - 6,000 calories and eaten by one man in 26 minutes http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2097707/Kidz-Breakfast-Great-Yarmouth-diner-eats-6-000-calorie-fry-26-minutes.html
  • I think there are several factors. Re the "poor", a lot look at food and think chicken, potatoes, vegetables and cooking time all add up to a lot of time and money whereas chuck a burger and chips in the oven, quick and easy and seems much cheaper. What they don't realise is that the chicken and veg cost the same, if…
  • I usually check my nutrition log at the end of the day and take whatever I'm short on. Usually iron, calcium, vitamin D and magnesium.
  • I'm 5'3 and currently 188lbs (13 stone approx) and size UK 16-18 (think that's about a US 12-14)
  • Just keep repeating your first answers. And look at it this way, if you can say no to them, then you can say no any time you're faced with the sweet trolley and it will be good learning for the future once you've reached your goal weight. Keep being firm, they're probably just jealous because they can't say no. Or think of…
  • All these people who wear Ugg boots or sandals or jeans would be banned from my gym. They have a strict "gym wear" policy and you must have your towel, buy a towel from the vending machine or go away until you have one.
  • I was an 80s teen so anything from the 80s will do for me. It's all got such a happy beat to it.
  • I have friend with a 6 month old baby and has started running again, with baby in pram. She has bought a pram especially for running, thicker wheels or something, so it's better for it.
  • I do 10-15 minutes of cardio (used as a warm up), rest, weights, rest, 10-15 minutes of cardio so there's a split. I think if I was running more, then I'd probably do cardio first, rest, weights.
  • Fantastic article. I laughed at number 2 as I bought a set of pink dumbells thinking they were 3kg but they turned out to be 3lb. I now use them for press ups (it helps as I only have a 45 degree hand split(?). I really can't understand when I see women using the 1kg weight. My heaviest weight at the moment is a 6kg for a…
  • I have a trainer at they gym who gives me a programme which changes every 6 weeks or so. I get bored of routine and I've found that helps. My trainer says it's good to change your routine every so often otherwise you end up doing the same routine over and over and not progressing anywhere.
