I should add that I eat between 1400-1800 calories a day. Depending on how much I work out and what my body feels like it needs. I do not go hungry, I usually eat 4-6 times a day and I always try to keep my snacks really healthy (although this week not so much...) . Everyone is going to be different. Some things work great…
I wonder what calculations you're using. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding something. I find it hard to believe that you can lose 6% body fat and gain 13 pounds of muscle in only 5 weeks, especially while working on a calorie deficit.
You use your inches, weight, height, etc. To calculate. My nutritionist did…

1. I think this is very realistic if you are dedicated and work hard! Remember though that you gain muscle with working out. So find what your body fat % is and measure to help keep you motivated when the scale doesn't move! 2. You really should eat no less than 1200 calories. On the days you exercise it needs to be more.…

I'm 5'7" 211lbs and in a size 12. I do have 14's but they are super baggy on me. Lost a lot of inches this month.

Way to go! Cleaning up your eating is suppose to be 90% of weight loss. Keep working on that and you will lose weight. Listen to your PT so that you don't injure yourself and hopefully in the long run you will be able to exercise!

Fruits are really good for you! I try to stick to ones lower in sugars such as berries, apples, clementines, etc. But I don't really worry about sugars from fruit; I just cut out processed food, candy sugars :)

I've been at this for 5 weeks and haven't lost a pound. However I have lost 15 inches, 6% body fat, and gained 13lbs of muscle. It's hard not seeing a change in the scale but when you are exercising you put on muscle weight; which is 2x heavier than fat. My nutritionist and trainer both tell me to ignore the scale right…

My mom has a fantastic book called something like God Made Food vs. Man Made Food. It's excellent. My dad who is not a huge health fanatic read it and now is on track to eating healthier without my mom having to nag him!
