marvelous workout. I did 4 miles on the "dreadmill".

You can even get the protein up with quinoa, mashed chick peas and or nuts.

Driving to Georgia where kids and grand boo live. Then cooking and eating.
-
So sorry, hope things get better.

Chipotle peppers in a can, yum. You could make big pans of stuffed pepper or cabbage rolls. Do you like spanakopita? You can make batches of that.
-
You really do feel happier with yourself, and life in general is more fun, when the weight isn't holding you down.
-
It really does make life more comfortable.

Thanks lulu! I really admire your lifting. I wish I could get into it, but I just find it boring. I am basically a fat girl, who hates exercise. I make myself do it because I don't want to be fat anymore.
-
You are so right luluinca! I reached goal 3 years ago. I didn't leave Mfp because it has been proven that I can't be trusted on my own.

I tried to be very accurate with my food logging and my burns, ( got an hrm). I would eat back most of my exercise calories. I lost steadily, close to a pound a week. I was about 1500 plus exercise calories. Now my bmr is only about 1200 and have 1350 calories w/o exercise. Needles to say if I want to eat, I must exercise.…

Welcome Mrs.Maui! I find it harder to lose weight, the older I get. I think my metabolism has retired. You are a strong woman, you can do it.
-
yup, I went from an 8-1/2 to a 7-1/2, yay, new shoes

I too am 63, I went from 215 to 130 with the help pf MFP. I decided not to do anything that I couldn't sustain forever. I am not a gym rat and will never spend hours in the gym. I have learned exercise is not optional. I love my goodies, but refuse to give them up. I just moderate them, a piece of pie instead of the whole…

marvelous NSV!

Welcome Qol.matters. This is a useful site and some knowledgeable people here in all stages of this process. Feel free to ask questions and make comments. Where in Australia are you? My daughter spent 2 years in Perth getting her masters, lovely place.

Super work BBee! Staying with the program

Welcome evinston! Ditto what Nikki said. Good support and suggestions on here. feel free to post a topic. The last bit is painfully slow, very frustrating. It is like your body is working against you instead of with you.
-
Lots of good suggestions here. My back pain is almost completely gone after losing 75 lbs. and getting healthy. I find lifting weights mind-numbingly boring, so not for everyone, Find what works for you. Yoga is another thought.

I made it on the treadmill again today, 60 mins with inclines.
-
I ran for the first time today, since I was sick about 2 weeks ago. It wasn't a great run, but at least I did it.
-
Got a nice walk in. Still not back 100% but better.

You are so right. My dad had dementia, (skinny dude), my sister(67) was diagnosed at 63, (my age). She was the skinny sister, I was the fat one. So while I hope this might be true, I can't depend on it. My dad had heart disease too, so genetics will win out. My mom recently died at 89, no dementia, not fat, but not…

I got some decent jeans at Target. I think the are called Denizen, may be a store brand.

very true, kyedo, excuses are killers!
-
Superbly done, Bill!

I must make it back to the gym. On Halloween, I passed out with what I think was food poisoning. I was flat on my back for 3 days and have felt very weak ever since. I am feeling much better and I want to attempt at least a walk on the treadmill.
-
Great that he is getting involved.
-
I keep my fat pics for motivation too

I just plan on not losing and keeping the gaining to a pound or two. Log everything! Eat something healthy before you go to a party so you don't get there starving and eat everything in sight. Thoughtfully fill your plate with what you really want and skip seconds, ( and thirds, lol). Veggies are your friend. Fruit treats…
