Congratulations on making the decision to turn your life around. It isn’t easy, but it can be done. Don’t be too hard on yourself. We all have bad days. Get a nutritionist to help if you can. Sounds like you are on the right track, doing baby steps with the exercise until you get stronger. Gradually you will see results,…

You can do this. Just be patient and take baby steps to start. Greatly admire you attempting this at 82. I am 67 and it is a whole other world than when I was in my 30’s.. Hang in there.

Dump him, nobody needs that. Get healthy for you.

You can do this. Just takes patience, perseverance and planning.

Everyone has this struggle. Been on here since 2011. You have to forgive yourself for screwups and just carry on. I am 5’6” old woman who started over 200 pounds, now in the not overweight category. This is a lifestyle change, not a diet. Best of luck.

You can do this. Take baby steps and don’t get too frustrated when things don’t work like they should. I let myself go when my kids were young. You are ahead of the game, just realizing that you need help now. I am 66 and have lost over 55 pounds. The key to this is patience, planning and persistance.

It is probably best to find like minded people and add them to your personal friend lists. Groups are gung-ho at first, then pretty much fade into oblivion. Not that friends don’t too, just not as quickly.

That is lovely to hear.❤️❤️

Marvelous event with the dress Lulu. I am sure you will look great. Kathi, you have done a tremendous job, especially with busy lives it is hard to keep every calorie and meal on track. Kudos!
-
That is so fun! Beats crying in the dressing room like I did when I weighed 200. My NSV is that a make oatmeal cookies yesterday and so far I have only had one. I am a major Cookie Monster.
-
Kudos! Well done!

You are amazing Farback!

Me, too, until I retire. I play the doctor, can't leave my patients hanging card and they always let me out. My husband showed up with a big peace sign necklace and they quickly decided they had enough people. You might try that Lulu, lol.
-
Precious! Nothing like the grandboos. Congratulations!
-
I third it! Elize7 very impressive!!!

I think this is it, ask mk2loser.

Hydrate, hydrate. Don't do heat of the day. I think we are used to it a bit. My husband is from Chicago and there have been times in the past where he is dripping sweat and I have a sweater on, lol.
-
That sounds very weird. I have only fasted for a day and drank the crap that clears out, well, the crap "sorry".
-
The tiki run sounds like great fun. I have done some 5ks but I had to take walk breaks, especially if there were hills. You can certainly do this.
-
Terrific advice! Hope things are going well.

This is a challenge for yourself. Do what you can, push a bit, but don't hurt yourself. You will probably be surprised what you can do.
-
MostlyWater that sounds like great fun and a super challenge.

This is a very friendly challenge. Even all the squats are doable when you do them 10 at a time. I ride my bike a few times a week too. When I went for a ride yesterday, I found my legs were stronger. I went fast and longer with less fatigue. Who knew? Push ups are still my issue, but I am better. Had I not tried, I still…
-
Brilliant advice Kathi! Sorry, I didn't mean to sucker-punch you on the challenge, but I knew you could do it. I still can't do a real push-up, but my girly ones are much better and I can do more than 5 at a time now.. On to abs, next week, I can't even do one sit-up.
