  • I totally agree! Love my Fitbit but hate the cord I have to remember when I travel :)
  • I love it! I'm vegan for 5 weeks I've lost 16 lbs several inches and I feel amazing. No meat no dairy and no added processed sugars. :)
  • Thank you that's a great point.. you don't lose calories just moisture! Wonderful! Thanks
  • Hi! I'm vegan! Don't worry about protein plants make protein you're just cutting out the middle man! A lot of false info going around as vegans get plenty of protein. B12 is the only supplement I take. Be sure to read up on that. I eat a lot of beans, hummus, raw veggies, fruits, brown rice, almond milk, healthy smoothies…
  • I'm two weeks into eating plant based /vegan and I love it! I feel amazing!
  • How are you supposed to do it? 30 days level 1 then 30 at level 2 then 30 at level 3? OR is there another way? I'm on day 3 of level 1 :) Thanks!
  • Thanks I was afraid that would be the case. Too bad they don't just incorporate it into the jawbone line. But that would be smart I guess lol :)
  • I find the grilled salmon a great choice at Olive Garden :)
  • Thank you so much! I was going to get a small but decided to follow your advice and boy am glad I did because even the Large is snug on me but it fits just right. So I'm very happy I got the large now. Thank you so much! :-)
  • Wow! Thank you so much for your great help! :)
  • Thanks for the info about heartratemonitorsusa.com.. I just ordered from them and I am really excited to get it. I think the prices there are really reasonable and with free shipping you can't go wrong. Also, from the reviews I have been reading the shipping is super fast. We are getting whomped with a blizzard right now…
  • Thanks for responding! I think I am going to go with the Polar Ft7 as I have been able to verify that it can be used when swimming. I am so excited to get it. I found I can get the entire set with the flowmeter to download your workout data for under 125 so I am really happy with that. Thanks! I can't wait to try it and…
  • Face it. She's not going to change until she is ready to and something in her life makes her really want it. You can say all you want but she won't hear it. Just keep doing what you are doing for you and set an example she can't miss. When she is ready she will be lucky enough to have a good friend to show her how to do it…
  • Wow! This happened to me before Christmas and I am glad to see I'm not the only one this has happened to. I tend to start marching on the Elliptical when this happens and that helps it go away. I also get weird charlie horse muscle spasms in my deltoid muscle when I am on the elliptical at times. Thanks for posting this. :)
  • Why is this an issue in nearly 2012? As long as you cover yourself out of respect for others it shouldn't be an issue. I nursed my kids and would never go sit in a bathroom stall to do it. This Country is so uptight about stupid things. This energy should be put into other issues like why are people homeless, hungry, etc.
  • "Dreadmill" lol Good one.. I'll have to remember that one. :) I actually love going to the gym and getting on the treadmill at an incline of 8 or higher and that seems to really wear me out. There are several different brands of ellipticals at the gym and each one says something different which drives me up the wall. One…
  • That's what I was going to say! lol Have you taken your measurements? Maybe you have gained muscle and not fat? Check to see if clothes are looser and definitely take a set of measurements and compare over time. Unless you are eating more calories than you realize I can't imagine it's not working. Also, I don't know you…
  • Hmmm Just read up and mine does not calculate calories burned which is interesting because it cost more than some that do. Should I take it back and get one that shows calories burned? Are these accurate? Help! Thanks! :)
  • Hi all that responded, I am really sorry about this but I don't have the Polar HRM you are speaking of. It is actually a brand name called "OMRON" and I think it might be a less nice model than the one you are talking about simply because I don't think it calculates my calories for me and never asked my weight, height,…
  • Hi there! I would love to see your presentation although I am not sure how I would view it. lol If you would like to email it to me my email address is kcw3369@gmail.com. Thanks! :) I think I need 101 about now. :) Would love to send you a friend request too.
  • HI! Please excuse my ignorance in this area but how do you tell how many calories you have burned from your heart rate monitor? I just got one for Christmas and all I thought I could do with it is monitor my heart rate for the range that would help me burn fat most effectively. Thanks! :)
  • Hi there! Does it take six or seven months to lose the weight caused by one 3,000 calorie day each month or do you mean in general? I think it sounds like a great idea because there is usually one celebration each month but if it causes six months to get it off I don't think I would be able to risk it. I am really tired…
  • The best tip I can think of is.. TAKE ME WITH YOU PLEASE!!!! lol...Sorry I had to try. Anyway, Congrats on going to the best place in the world. Ten pounds in almost 3 weeks will be tough so be careful. Do you workout already? I think that makes a huge difference. If you already work out a lot it's probably going to be…
  • Wow thanks for all the replies.. Saw one for sale on Craigslist and was really curious but it sounds dangerous and temporary so I will pass. Thanks all! :)
  • I feel for you. I have always heard that if you crave something there may be something in it your body needs. Not sure if that's true but maybe ask your doctor just in case. I guess you could either do what you are doing which I think is smart and have just a small controlled amount of carbs, or try chewing gum or keeping…
  • HI! I find it a struggle when I have 1400 calories a day then I exercise and burn off at least 300 to 500 calories then I read that I have at least 1700 calories available to eat back which sounds like nothing right? But I am eating very healthy now. I never used to eat huge quantities of food but what I did eat was so…
  • Hi! The 30 day shred is a workout DVD by Jillian Michaels the trainer from "The Biggest Loser" on television. You are supposed to do ten days at level 1, ten at level 2 and ten days at level 3 but you can modify it and do level 1 for 30 days or however you feel is best for you. I think the DVD is a few years old because I…
  • I would be happy to work with you as well. :) I log in every day and many times a day. I agree with the other poster be good to yourself. Are you nursing your baby? If so, make sure you are adjusting your calories accordingly. I am a Labor and Delivery RN of 18 years. I am currently on leave but if you need any help with…
  • Wow! That's great I think I am going to do it based on what you are all saying. There is one for 1.99 and another for 2.99 and I haven't seen any free ones offered. I am not sure which one is better. Does anyone know if they are the same? I am actually leaning toward the 1.99 one because it has GPS features allows you to…
