Hi there, total for 9/27 3 miles walking (rest day for me) Thanks!

Heart Rate Monitor will help, but you could also get a Pedometer. It will track your steps for the day. Everyone should walk at least 10, 000 steps a day. Then you can look it up on google and translate the steps to calorie burning...hope this helps some.

Thanks so much for the additional info, this will keep me on track in more ways than 1. I did another 3 miles this afternoon so a total of 6 for 9/26.

You can also try the Arch (pronounced ARK) machines, they are even easier on your knees than an eliptical. But keep doing the treadmill and go see the doc....may have an injury or may have you take some glucosemine to goop up the knee. Good luck.

Nice job, they do stop and can be shaped pretty easily with dedication. That was my easy body part, my hard part is hips!! Legs, usually not an issue, but just can't seem to get rid of those hips...... :)

This is good info as well, just do what works for you.

I just say be careful, you know your body best. If you feel like you need more to keep up your running or workouts, then go ahead and take some more in but I know for me I have to stay at 140 cbs or less due to the way my body handles them. I have to work out like a fiend and run or do crazy cardio to not have it affect…

I was going to say the same thing, good luck!

I am in, already did 3 miles this am on the treadmill doing a walk/run as I am training for a 5 mile run on Thanksgiving am. I have some ruptured and herniated disks in my lower back so have to start slow again on the running but I am determined to run the entire race.
