I will be an advocate for canned tuna and salmon. There is nothing wrong with them in the diet.

what does BUMP mean?

You can eat the calories that MFP tells you, however, they quality of the calorie is what counts. Finding foods that are wholesome and that fill you up are good. Keep your carbs low and eat alot of protein from meat and fish, and eggs are great for this, either with a main meal or as a snack on it own.
-
To be honest, you can do all the cardio in the world but wont matter if your diet is not good. You will see bigger benefits to your fat loss if you eat good quality foods such as meat, fish, eggs fresh fruit and veg. If you want to lose fat through exercise then interval training will benefit you the most.

Snacking is tough, but can be brought on by alot of things. If you find you are bored, then that is why you may binge. If you have alot of spare time in the night, do something. Take up a hobby, go for a walk etc. You need to find foods that you like that are filling, like wholegrains, eggs, fish, meat, fruit and veg etc.…

Losing inches is the way forward. Don't worry about losing weight, ultimately you working on FAT LOSS, that will have the biggest difference on your body composition. Keep going.

There is usually some calories attached to Tea because its got caffiene in it. Plus if your adding any kind of sweeteners or sugar, then obviusly adding sugar to your daily diet, and you would have milk on top that too.

I dont eat but i will have a cup of coffer and walk to work 4 to 5 days a week, which takes about 40 minutes. shower in work then I will have eggs, or a banana or chicken with water. that does me. but everyone is totally different and you have to look at how you feel before and after the workout. If you wake up and are not…

Dont stress, you wont see any differences week to week, its over teh longer term that you need to be looking. Try not to weigh for a month. Take measurements every 2 months or so and take a picture of yourself now, and another in 6 months time in the smae place and position and I can guarantee if you keep up your fitness…

Was there meant to be more added to this Heather?

Thats all fine. as long as the chicken is cooked right. Use olive oil if your frying rather that veg oil. Do you eat fish? Tuna is good for fat loss. Another tip is to read magazines like mens health and mens fitness as they all have tios on healthy foods and superfoods that help with fat loss as well as ideas for…

Yeah, definitely. Interval training can be done outside or on a machine that allows you to go up and down the speed settings like an elliptical, stationary bike or treadmill. Make sure you are eating the right foods to 1) keep your energy reserves up and 2) that aid in weight loss. Finding the balance is key to losing the…

Yeah, thats pretty much a "Fartlek". Good stuff, keep mixing it up with weights also and you will see results very soon.
-
Yeah, anything like that. You increase your work rate for short bursts, up to a max of 2 minutes I would say to get the best benefit, then jog to recover and once your breathing is back to normal, go again. Fartlek is a form of interval training. You may go for a 5k run, but every now and tehn, you pick an object in teh…

make sure your pasta and rice portions are in control so you don't overdo it. To many carbs can cause slight weight due to the mechanics of the body. Don't cut it out completely, but make sure they are correct sizes. 50 to 150g a day will be sufficient.

if your not a morning person, have no fear. they say (whoever they are) it takes 28 days to break in a new habit so try it for a month. you may find it a life changer for you!!!
-
It could be time for a change. You may have hit the dreaded plateau where your body is used to what your doing. Change your fitness routine around and change your eating habits too. Go nuts once in a while and have some treats. Keep your body guessing all the time. But, also, take a rest. have a week off of training. Ant…

You could do some interval training that will take 20 minutes or so, so shouldn't disrupt getting up early. or if you do weights, do supersets where you do 2 exercises back to back, go through the sets and then choose 2 more exercises. again, this can be done quickly and you dont need heavy weights.
-
For me, i would say 50 - 150g of carbs per day. you are right, slow releasing carbs are good, just dont overdo them. have a look at the GI index. any food that score between 0 and 69 are considered low to medium and will provide a consistent amount of energy without messing up the bodies balance and cause the food to be…

I posted something about this yesterday but have no response. I personally dont think they work, but i would like to know from the MFP people out there about their experiances.

Cardio will work, but crunches and sit ups are a waste of time. Crunches don't shift fat at all. You have to do something in the region of 750,000 sit ups to shift 1lb of belly fat. Your diet needs to be looked at and eating foods that keep your metabolism high. High protein low carb is the way forward as the carbohydrate…

Honestly, I would stop with the weight watchers. I dont think it is a nutritional as they want to make out. Fair enough, they remove the fat but the processed sugar that is probbaly worse. Also, I watched a programme and they also put an ingrediant in that is also EXACTLY THE SAME as an ingredient that goes into wallpaper…

HI Eyvette, Sounds like your doing all the right things. The reason your body lost the weight could be that you shocked your body and it wasnt used to it, so thats why it lost all the weight. To keep that up, you need to chnage it up a bit more, doing interval training. This will shake up ypour body as it is probably used…

I have complete this and on the B210k (Bridge to 10k). I loved this program and made a real difference to me. I have never been a good runner but this really is amazing. Good luck to you guys doing it.

The best time to work out is whatever is best for you. However, research has shown that evening is the best as your body is its warmest then and can function to its best this giving the best chance to burn fat and work out harder.

One of teh reasons that you may have the extra skin is because you lost weight quicker than your skin could keep up. Your skin is elastic and it will eventually go back to normal. You just have to keep working. There are creams you can get to firm it up and if all else fails and it is still an issue then speak to your…

Although the scale may not be moving have you been taking any measurements? Some people wont lose the weight through the scales as much as they will get smaller. Take measurements once a month too to check your progress. Have a look at your diet also. If your refuleiing your boduy with alot of high fat food and not enough…

Good luck Chris, got a lot of respect for what you have done with your training and what your about to do. Best of luck. The only tip I will say is go at your own pace that is comfortable. In your first rate it is easy to get carried away with the pace and keep up with the people who are faster and fitter than you. it will…

hi there. with regards to the food and hunger, the reason for this is prob due to the fact that you are upping your training so your body is asking you for more. Try to many foods that will help with you with your recovery, anything that is carbohydrate and protein. You need to look at foods that are low GI which will…
