  • Yeah i think you do. I went for a 2.5 mile walk and a 7.5 cycle but it only logged the steps for the walk. On the dashboard it shows that i was cycling, even though i didn't tell the app.
  • In terms of energy and general feeling g, is everyone's energy up and feeling good? I know done right it will give great weight loss but I'm also after the way "I'm feeling too"
  • This is what I st This is what I started yesterday, the 16:8. Going to do it in work as I'm busiest then and don't think so much about food. Stop eating at 8 and start again at 12 the next day. 1st week.
  • Hi Erika, Looking at your training you are very committed and congrats on all the weight loss. At this point, what I would say is that rest is just as important as training. You need to give your body a chance to restore itself. The amount of training you are doing, you need at least 2 rest days a week. also, instead of…
  • Thank you Melinda, you learn something new every day
  • Im half way through month 1. I love it too. Its circuit training on another level and makes you wanna work hard for it. Get on it, you wont regret it
  • Honestly, I love it. Cant get enough to be honest. Think of the end result!!!!
  • Just keep it going. also, if your not changing much, change up teh exercise routine as you may have reached the "plateau". Make sure your eating clean too, no sugar or crap. keep going.
  • Hiya, I have my HRM and put it in that way. Not really sure what the average is for burning calories sorry. You can pick a cheap is HRM for about £30.
  • Mike is right. It does kick *kitten*. Im only 8 workouts in but i love it. Although i am battered at the end i cant wait for the next workout. I spent month building up to doing it but its all about form and how hard you can push yourself. Il be doing P90X next. Go for it and good luck.
  • How far are you into insanity? Regardless of the scales, have you taken basic measurements? Waist, Chest biceps and thighs? you may find the weight is going down slowly but clothes start to fit better. Dont be too disheartened, its a marathon and not a sprint, (cliché i know) but don't look for the quick result, its the…
  • Thanks guys. Some good places to start here. Ive heard of DDP yoga as there is a video going around Facebook, and its on his front page of the bloke that was a war veteran and almost disabled.

  • Im on the 5th workout of insanity and i do think anyone can get to the end of it as its about how hard you can go. I love insanity, (cant say that in the middle of the workout) and its making me eat better. but its about finding what motivates you and you enjoy
  • Im 5'9" and weigh 180 pounds. Im on the 5th day of this. Ive been building myself up for months to do it. I love it. I feel myself getting stronger. Im finishing strong and feel amazing after. Results wont show yet, but i am confident i will.
  • I agree with Brian. Not sure where you are from but a group experts looked at 461 studies that the likes of Lucozade, whey protein and trainers that the lieks of Nike and Adidas make. They found that only 3 had any credible claims. Basically, the best way to raise metabolism, lose wight and build musclke is to eat…
  • your facing the same dilemna we all go through. you need to be disciplined, simple as that. its ok to have treats every now and then, as a reward for working hard. just remember how bad you feel after you have eaten all the crap for all the hard work you have undone, maybe that will change you. Its all about discipline,…
  • I dont find that exercise agrevates it but i do an office jiob and my posture can be quitre poor and give me back ache. I tend to sit bolt upright for about 20 minutes at a tiome, get up and strecth a bit. Excercise tends to help and then i do all body stretches to help it out also. Yoga and pilates will help strenghten…
  • depending on how hard you work will depend on what you need before hand. some easily digestable carbs such as banana or oatmeal is good beforehand and then having good qualty proteoin afterwards is teh way forward. to be hoinest it would be trail and error for what works for you. Hydrate properly throughout also.
  • Guys, you should not worry about the fruit you are eating as the sugar in it is ok. as its been said its the refined sugar you need to watch. Fruit also helps towards body water intake too, just dont count it. There is no such thing as too much fruit in a balanced diet.
  • Possibly, but it ould be slow. But whats the point. Ypou work hard all week and then blow it on the weekend then start again. If your serious about your fitness and weight loss goals then booze should/must be kept to a minimum.

  • Yes its normal. Your body will keep excatly what it needs to fuction, as we are 2 thirds water and then look to excrete the rest. This is done through peeing, but whie you exercising this will be done via sweating. Dont panic. But if you are drinking all the time, and constantly thirsty that may be something else.
  • I 100% agree with the C25K. its a brilliant App. also, if you are going to get shoes, go to a proper running shop and get yourself fitted properly. the shoes are one of the most important part of the you starting, get that right and you will be laughing. if you are starting out, start slow. Running to get fit is a long…
  • To cut fruit out of your diet is crazy. its full of fibre and nutrients that your body needs and may not get from elswhere. Def cutting out refined processed carbs, but don't have a cheat day. whats the point? you work hard all week to blow it then you start again? what are you actually working for then? are you working to…
  • Hi there. With regards to your eating, you should eat little and often, every 2 tp 3 hours, eating smaller means and healthy snacks. Never go so long that you are starving by your next meal or you will consume too much, and might even think you are still hungry and go for some unhealthy alternatives, which sorts your…
  • Guys, you need to make sure that you also eat after your workout as well as drink. Your post workout meal shoudl contain alot of good quality protein to help with muscle repair, and some carbs to replenish the glycogen lost trough exercise. If your not doing this then your body is asking why? That's could be one reason why…
  • I would have a real issue with sepnding 350 minutes to burn 350 calories. Lathough the calss may be enoyable, a 25 minute run would get you a 350 calorie burn.
  • You can do allot of running interval training, or weight circuits too, or combining both. I don't have any specific names for these intervals, I read allot of magazines and books and I tend to mix and match exercises. I have a TABATA training app, which has a 20 second 10 second timer. I sprint for 20 seconds, all out and…
